Very short, flat, mild. Maybe a quarter-mile.

Trees are incredible. Giant Cedars, some hallow.

Love this area! Great place to camp and beautiful to hike around!

We took this trail hike a while ago with 3 kids in tow, all of which were wearing flip flops. This is an easy, flat, short trail through old growth cedars and trees near priest lake. It's more of a nature/learning trail than anything else. The trail loops around ending where it began. Good for a leg stretch and some sights.

Out of the way and breathtakingly beautiful. Lush and a unique micro-climate, the grove has a charming even/flat walk with plaques/signs to read along the way. Combine it with the logging display at the Museum in Priest River and you've got a nice educational day trip about the logging industry in the region. The large cedars in the forest are magnificent, and you are not limited to only a 1/4 mile hike (that's just the informational/interpretive trail) -- there are lots and lots of little side trails and other hiking/walking roads to explore.
NOTE: mosquitoes are pretty happy living in this humid place, so some bug /insect repellent might be a good idea to bring.

This is a good short nature learning trail through old growth cedars. Great for kids and families, no equipment needed.

We camped in the Priest Lake area from 6-24 thru 6-26 of 2011. We found a great spot where we could see the lake through the trees. About 1/8th of a mile outside a camp site we saw a deer, too bad the season hadn't started yet. :) We hiked a couple trails while we were there and it was a blast!
