Easy, wide trail for the 1st half, then two or three deep smooth rock water crossings for horses. Not for novice horse riders beyond this point. Trail narrow for 6 plus miles for the advance hiker or rider. Worth the ride to the end. Water is too deep before mid July. Advanced Hikers can take a upper trail to get around stream it but is steep narrow. Not made for horses. Look up to your left at the water crossing to see the trail.Show more

This is a great paddle down the South Fork of the Snake River below the Palisades Dam. Put in at the dam and float down to the Spring Creek ramp. Make sure to have a car or ride waiting for you at the end. This is a great stretch for fishing as well. The current is fast enough to keep you going without paddling but there are no rapids. You will also pass the Fall Creek Falls. You can see it from the river.Show more
