Like another reviewer commented, the actual trailhead can be a little difficult to find (from NF-4600 off the Grangeville-Salmon Rd turn into the parking on the left side and follow the path from the covered benches to the road and the trailhead is on the other side) but once on the trail it's pretty well posted.

A fairly easy hike on an ATV trail with a few short steep and sometimes rocky sections. Passes by the occasional patch of wildflowers, huckleberries. But on the whole it's quite an unremarkable hike mainly in the trees, asides from at the lower section where there are some nice views.

The trail was not heavily used the day we were there. We were the only people biking and were confused how to find the trail. When one arrives, there is only a map of the ski trails, which has many loops, circling around as ski loops do. It was extremely rocky, not suitable for a hybrid bike, one even had to walk downhill because of the rocks.
