HikingGreat!

Not much to see during the day. I’m guessing it’s a great night hike? Per its trail name “stargaze.”

If you're short on time and trying to pack some beautiful Idaho views into a trip, there are probably others out there. This was enjoyable and did offer some great views of the surrounding hills and river. Bring good hiking shoes or extra socks and shoes. There were some wet spots and not many good options to avoid the water.

Really nice trail, pretty narrow for the majority of the time. Beautiful fall leaves beginning to change but lots of smoke obscuring the views.

Hiked 2.2/4.4 out and back to a ridge with lovely views. Steep trail, beautiful 360 views at the top!

Great trail. Well marked. Nice views if there is no smoke. 4 miles up to top of Bald Mt. Didn’t see anyone else.

Pretty trail. It was solitude defined - I didn't see another soul out there, except for two moose in a meadow near the trailhead as I was leaving. This area will be especially beautiful in a few weeks when the leaves change color. The creeks are running low right now and were relatively easy to cross. There is a log bridge built across Rockey Creek at about 2.3 miles that is sturdy enough for most. Follow my recording to avoid the old bridge that fell down. There are some places that are overgrown and rocky, and some fallen trees that were difficult to get around, but overall it was in very good shape. The valley is very flat and has awesome places for dispersed camping. No bear sightings.

Nice walk up a dirt road with some great views. Good for a quick hike in the area, especially with iffy weather. Follow my instagram for more adventures @julie_journeys

So smokey today! Didn't even complete the hike. I'm sure it would obtain more stars on a clear day. Did see a cute chipmunk and a gray jay. Follow my instagram for more adventures @julie_journeys

Beautiful trail that changed with the gradual incline. It only got “challenging” the last mile up but the view is great and trail head is easy to find.

Beautiful walk... didn’t go too far... sandy and narrow trail with a sharp drop off on your right felt more appropriate to be labeled difficult. Great workout and beautiful views with the right shoes:-)

Highly recommend! if you're physically fit you won't have much trouble. I am not very fit and I still made it. It took me a little over 2 hours to get to the top (and it is uphill the whole way) and a little over an hour to get down. The end is very steep, but if you can do it you should. I almost turned around, but I'm glad I didn't. Amazing view!

Up up up then down down down. Good trail, and we saw some beautiful owls when we started out. Adequate shade but still use sunscreen

Holy cow, this is a steep one! Steady uphill, a couple of really steep moments but mostly steady. A very narrow trail, so good that we didn't meet anyone else on the trail, though clearly, there had been other folks out there. Lots of nice shade even though we didn't start till about 130pm. Only made it about half way because of time constraints but it was a beautiful trail with great views. I struggles a bit to find the trail head but it is well marked. I did need to use the Forest Service website to get the Exact location but, once I did that it was pretty easy to find! overall well worth your time but probably deserves a hard designation, not moderate!
