Lovely trail. Starting to get a little overgrown is some places.

Fantastic loop connecting with Ricochet and Whistling Pig. Consistent vertical with easy-moderate terrain. Not a lot of shade but fairly open to wind. Great loop that could be extended to 5 miles or more with others. I ran this, I did not hike.

Some portions were so beautiful but some were walking thru new parts of Avimor. We went late in the evening in June.

Love this trail, hiked it twice this week because of the Spring time beauty. The trail leads you up the foothills and your hiking next to a stream the whole way up. The Syringa was out in full force, smells amazing! Saw a snake, lots of lizards, and plenty of birds and butterflies this time of year. Bring sunblock, water and wear a hat. This trail can be very warm as there isn’t any shade on the trail. I’d recommend morning or evening travel during the warmer months. Perfect for kids, pretty groomed trail, but wear the proper shoes as there are some steeper parts with slippery gravel. I posted some photos above.

Easy trail. Gradual uphill climb on the way out. No shade so go when it’s cool.

This is one of my favorite short hikes in Boise because of its panoramic views.

This is a nice, short trail located just north of Boise near the Avimor development. The trail is relatively flat and family-friendly. There is very little shade, so you'll need sunscreen and plenty of water on hot days. As the name implies, there are creeks nearby that your furry hiking companion(s) can use to stay cool.

Great little hike, dog loved it. Gets your heart rate up a few times if you don’t get out much but for hikers it’s a breeze

Great trail, can make it a short hike or a long one. Took the dog, saw 1 or two people the whole time. Started at around 5 PM!

Great trail! Went around 5 PM and made it back before dark. Not many people on the trail possibly because it was late in the day. We saw a handful of bikers but all of them were respectful. Fairly easy hike and it was beautiful next to the creek. We even saw a wild moo moo on the trail. It was very majestic. Would definitely do again!

Beautiful trail this time of year! We went out in the morning so it was cooler, but in the warmer months this would definitely be a warmer hike. Walking through the canyon provides a little bit of shelter, but not much. The creek running next to the trail for most of the was was beautiful and refreshing. Not too tough of a trail although there were some parts that were a little rocky, but we had two little ones that handled this just fine. The trail is definitely trafficked heavily, but was not too bad first thing in the morning. There is parking by the basketball and tennis courts.

Fun trail. Moderate climbing, great views, and break off trails for variety. I will be making this trail a regular when staying close to home.

It was a great workout with beautiful views! Keep your app GPS on if you want to stay on the “short loop”. It’s easy to miss and keep going. There was a handful of mountain bikers and hikers.

Easy trail, however, with new construction close by, it can affect some of the scenery. The markers aren’t clear in some spots, but overall it was fun.

Beautiful right now! Not a lot of people. Lots of different trails. I did find a tick walking around on me when I got home, make sure to check yourself and your dogs.

Good incline at the beginning. Saw two bull snakes on the trail. Beautiful wildflowers and view of the city and Bogus. Bring water!

The part that was designated as the Spring Valley Creek Trail was awesome! It’s in a canyon for most of the hike so there is little to no shade. If you do it, the morning is the best time to go.

A little bit of a lung workout! Especially if you get off the trail this app indicates, but was enjoyable!

Great trail, there was about 10-15 other cars parked there when we went in the afternoon. Hikers and bikers were there, and even some kids with families. Pretty easy most of the route to step to the side for people/bikers to pass.
