So bug infested and it’s really just a greenbelt paved path. There’s nothing hike like about it.

this is a nice evening hiking trail. We live close by and enjoy this hike, with our golden retriever, at least once a week.

Great run especially going clockwise. The ups are in a lot of sand, but worth it once you hit the ridge. Great valley views and then some great downhill bombing at the end. Great loop and even more fun to do it twice.

Such a great hike!! Not hard, but not too easy! My dogs did great! (Only went to the first lookout) but I assume the additional trails are the same!!

This was my first time on this trail. I would not recommend going up the middle. It is nothing but sand and makes for a very difficult trail run. When I finished a couple told me about the loop on top of the ridge and not a ton of sand. So I will have to try that.

My most favorite trail run. There are two parts, the shorter route cuts through the middle of the canyon (~4mi). That's a sand bed. I typically take the trail to the left, either up the very steep hill or go around it, to the north and meet up with the main loop. Coming down the middle is only easier on the sand, slightly, going downhill. Avoid the middle altogether and do the full 5 mile loop.

Overall it was a nice, not busy at all for a Saturday afternoon, we only passed one other group on horseback. If you start left at the trailhead the first mile and a half is thru loose sand which was hard to walk in and wore us out, it almost made us turn back. If you can get past that then the rest of the hike is cake. If you go right at the trailhead then its uphill for a mile and a half. The view from the top was nice but there’s no shade at all and no natural water, it’s definitely a desert hike. My Fitbit said it was only 3.8 miles also. I probably won’t go again, it’s better suited for horseback riding.

It was a narrow trail lightly traveled by bikes and hikers today and we met a few nice doggies along the way. We took pictures of the wild flowers , beetles and two lizards. It was a nice leisurely hike for beginners. There is a park across Hill rd with restroom access.

Decent hike. Trail is really overgrown. Very narrow trail, looks like it’s made more for bikes. Speaking of which, tons of bikers when I went. Only saw one other hiker. There are definitely better trails around, but this one isn’t terrible.

A nice stretch of the Greenbelt. I will go again.

Great little hike, especially if you live near by. I recommend evening. Summer sunsets with thunder clouds can give a beautiful disorder colors! Also the Arrowleaf Balsam Root flowers (like sunflowers) cover the hills in August/early September.

A great little hike close to the northwest side of Boise. Very easy trail, well marked. I took the Big Springs Loop once I got to the top intersection. Just a little over 2 miles that way. This is a very popular trail with mountain bikers, so use caution around blind corners.

Clean trail, not a ton to look at.

Easily accessible off the main road and perfect for a lunch break loop.

Easy trail that climbs some minor hills. Nothing hard or difficult. lots of intersecting trails all through the area. Easy hike...much less populated then other local hiking areas

The only part the dog needs to be leashed I near our hallowed grounds....I see this as being respectful to my fellow vets. I would rather your dog did not desecrate our soldier's graves. Is this an issue?

Dogs must be kept on leash, what is the point of that? This is a great hiking trail with nice views. Trail is an out and back.
