Fun hike. Places for Tucker (our dog) to play in the water.

Nice trail, pretty well-maintained until the end where it got kind of overgrown. Besides the first climb this trail is very easy. Not too many good views, but a beautiful forest hike.

Great hike for a park in town!

Just a bit confusing at the beginning as the trails split off in several areas. If you take a minute to review the trail on the map before you go, you should be fine. Nice meadows but no amazing overlooks. About half way up Yellowstone the road changes to gravel, but not an issue for a little FWD car.

lots of fun. Beautiful view.

Awesome hike. Must do.
Keep dogs on leash and pick up your dog Sh**

Terrible hiking. Go to Tubbs Hill.
Stay off of Cave unless you want to get run over.
If you do go, leash your dog and pick up dog Sh**.

I started a bit later in the day so wasn't able to do the full trail, I turned back where the trails split off. I enjoyed it though, it's well maintained and lightly trafficked and while there aren't any sweeping vistas or 360 degree views the scenery is great

Great trail, very scenic! Enjoyed the trail and enjoyed that it was not busy! Will return!

Beautiful hike on a dirt trail surrounded by forest. Mostly up hill, but so worth it. Benches along the way for breathe catching and pictures. A nice covered picnic area at the top overlooking the water and mountains covered in trees. Went on a holiday weekend and the people traffic wasn't bad. Lots of happy pups out there on leashes too Parking can be a little tough. It's a small lot. Over all great! Do it!

I love this run! it’s a loop so, you can come from the front or the back. if you run, you should be done within 30min or so. You will be ok with regular running shoes. i wouldn’t recommend to go there right after a rain or next day. It can be very muddy or you can slip on rocks.

so close to town and the perfect length for a quick hike!!

It was a decent hike. Unfortunately, we were hiking the weekend of the really heavy smoke from the fires. Entirely up hill but makes it super easy for the return trip. We stoped after reaching the overlook spot at about 1300 feet.

"Moderate"??? Worst is a 130' climb in 4/10 of a mile. Coming back is the same 130', but over 9/10 of a mile, so more gentle. Otherwise mostly flat.

Be wary of sight-seeing tourists and locals walking their dogs/baby strollers. I've never found the trail busy, but that might be because of the hours I ride it.

Signs direct traffic counter-clockwise on the loop. Good idea because the last part is quite steep and would be more difficult to go up than down.

A bit noisy at the top due to freeway traffic noise. Still a worthwhile little hike.

NOT marked very well. Highly recommend downloading map & recording. Areas where you need to make a decision are not well marked. Was only able to stay on the right trail with AllTrails map. It starts out as trail 8 but then turns to trail A and then to trail 4. Beautiful hike. Recorded it as 4.3 miles. Never saw a cave.

Easy trail! Great views at the top

stay away from this trail of you're riding a horse. BMX and motorcycles pay no attention, accident waiting to happen!

It was a good hike, however I would rate it as easy to moderate. The camp ground where I parked was perfect for me, the trail wasn’t marked very well so I ended up exploring a bit more, nice switchbacks, very well maintained trails, and very popular....... many people were hiking it when I was there. Another great thing, the road into the camp ground is paved!

Great trail to take with our 7 and 4 year old.

Well maintained trail with great views.
I wish people wouldn’t cut the switchbacks though, sad!

As everyone has said, the first two miles are hiked along a fairly narrow ridge with some challenging terrain. Afterwards the trail becomes well groomed for easy cruising. The dense

Part of the greater North Idaho Centennial Trail, it gives a nice view of the lake. It does get a little crowded and there is one hill that might stop you, but still worth the ride.

Very fun. New sights around every corner. Great semi-private beaches to take a dip at. Love this hike.

First time hiking here and loved It! Great maintained trail, perfect for the dog. The beginning is all uphill then will decline downhill to a meadow full of butterflies. I hiked this August 4th and got an early start. Plenty of shade and places along the creek to hang your hammock. About 4 or so miles in the trail gets muddy and trail is covered in water. Didn't see any wildlife, but the Wasps and hornets are bad. It was challenging to rest without them swarming us. I loved this hike and look forward to going back.

Enjoyed the hike. A bit hazy from the smoke, but still very beautiful. Went off on the Wilson trail for a ways. Nice viewpoints from there.
