Nice quick trail. Fairly well maintained, pleasant scenery including meadows and obscured lake views. Parking lot and bathroom at the bottom.

Several forks, be sure to keep on the main trail unless you want a longer hike. Currently its marked with blue diamonds.

I would not call this trail easy....I would call it fun!! Lots of rocks, roots and rocky ledges to traverse. Beautiful scenery and beaches. We even saw a family jumping off a ledge into the lake!

Beautiful easy hike with meadows and tall grasses. Had the trail to myself today

Lovely trail. I took my 4 year old with me and we had no issues. Also a great spot to look for bald eagles at the right time of year!

A great, easy loop located right in downtown CDA. Views are gorgeous, and the trail is well marked. Got lost my first time out, but it was my fault for not paying attention to the trail markings. Great for dogs, too. Also, free two hour parking!

Beautiful and simple!

I like this hike with open meadow and parked out trees. Pretty....no no views but very serene.

fun, we enjoyed the surprise beaches during the trail! kids refreshed and kept on walking after splashing!
only we got lost and although we started in the lower trail, ended up doing the upper one...

Beautiful scenery and very easy loop for beginners.

I love doing this hike after work in the evening. It's a quick, beautiful hike that has a bit of a climb near the end. Super fun!

on Blue Creek Trail

Very nice trail; our first visit. Nice alternative to CdA residents usual hikes at Tubbs Hill, Mineral Ridge and English Point.

Mostly double track trail on pine straw and partially shaded. I think I’d rate it ‘Moderate’ for the steady climd over the first 1/3 of the trail.

I suspect maybe some blue diamond trail markers have gone missing since previous reviews, you’re left guessing a few times during the first 1/3 of the trail. Checking the map app was reassuring that we hadn’t veered off the wrong path.

75’ From the trailhead a well-worn path crosses the trail, keep straight. Then about 100 yards down the trail you come to several intersecting trails. Keep to either of the two left switchbacks. The blue diamonds disappear for several hundred yards but start again.

Very nice parking lot for 10 cars with a Forest Service-type outhouse.

Still patches of mud in places on the trail, but certainly not bad. We let the dogs swim at the nearby public rec area on Blue Bay afterwards.

great easy trail for all ages! Beautiful views and great views! Does get very packed during the summer because most people hike this trail. A lot of people do take their pets here with them. The best time to go in the summer is the early morning because it is not as packed then.

A calming way to end a day. I did it straight from work wearing rain boots and had no issues.

Can't believe I've lived in the area so long without hitting up this trail til now! Good variety of incline and decent, but still super easy. Pet and kid friendly. Free parking by the park as long as your not parked longer than 2 hrs.

trail was muddy and had some snow towards the top. Nothing a good pair of hiking shoes/boots can't handle.

Nice hike with great views and lots of picture opportunities. Lots of people there. Once finished we went to Mcuen Park which is right there. Ran into a little deer on the trail our kids loved it

Great views. Easy trail.

A beautiful and easy hike right in the heart of CDA. I walk it several times a year. It’s very busy during the summer months, but perfect and lightly trafficked in early spring

Absolutely beautiful, kid and dog friendly, but getting more and more crowded. Fairly annoying for the first 1/2 mike and then it’s fine.

Cloudy windy day at Blue Creek Trail yesterday, but still beautiful with 4 inches of fresh powder snow. Parking lot was not plowed but still accessible. Except for the first little jaunt uphill the trail is fairly easy switchbacks up to a lollipop Loop. At the beginning of the trail you get a glimpse of Blue Creek Bay. most of the trail is through snow-covered woods. About halfway along the trail there is a bench and a old corral. Trail is very well-marked , we followed the blue markers all the way. Trail is about 2.7 miles long

It’s a nice walk if that’s what you’re looking for

What a nice little trail! tons of lookout areas and several beach spots where you can take a dip. I have been down this trail many times and over the years it has become increasingly busy, but I can see why. This is a great close by hike!
