Great trail, muddy after some rain, so do stay off the trails then! Lots of mountain bikers that kept passing. Please always call out ahead of time if you are biking with hikers, thanks!

Me and my lil boys love this ride!

Burnt Car trail is poorly marked and we struggled finding the trailhead. We had to hike to the back of the subdivision, walk through a construction area, and follow the map on our phones. It seems to be an abandoned dirt road that takes you through a gate about a mile in stating "Private Property". There are other trails close by that we saw, and we might try those in the future.

Very good. Loved the views

there are several trails in the area all with the same entrance. not actually sure I went to Burnt Car, but did have a great hike. would recommend!

was wonderful today, April 9th. good ups and downs, enough challenge mixed with some moments of decent to get your breath back. very beautiful!

A few areas pretty muddy today in 3/11/18 but not as bad as Sweet Connie. We only got out 4.28 miles before we had to turn around in Sweet Connie. Love this little loop on a beautiful morning.

Nice - typical Boise foothills. Good views on a clear day, a nice easy loop.

Jan 1,2018 little mud and ice to be expected but this trail has beautiful views, cut thru on Doe ridge also. Great start to new year

Well developed trail with good changes in elevation. We did see a number of deer while on the hike which was a nice bonus. Well marked and has a couple of shortcuts if you want to shorten it some. Overall an enjoyable moderator level trail

We rode 15 miles on this paved bike trail that runs along the Boise River. It was flat, well marked and had great Mountain and River views. Great for families to get out and exercise. Not strenuous at all.

Nice path to stroll or ride a bike along the river!

Love this trail for an "everyday " hike. Not too strenuous and well marked with good views. I like that I can do this hike in the morning and then get to work in the afternoon. Great for locals.

The hike has some mild inclines and a decent length. You'll notice if you follow my route it runs into a dead end somewhere in the middle which will add some extra miles. The scenery is relatively boring compared to other desert trails I've been on and the mountain bikers can be annoying on the small trails. There are a few interesting birds but I've gotten better encounters on other trails. I'd hike this again but it wouldn't be high on my list.

7/13 still closed due to high water

A few key things to keep in mind before attempting this trail. First, it's in the Avimor subdivision and you want to take the first left after the community center. The trail entrance will be on you right and there is a parking lot relatively close or you can park by the community center pretty easily. AT&T doesn't seem to get service in that area and apple gps will put you at the community center instead of the trail. The second big thing is there are a ton of bugs on this trail; you'll see horrendous swarms (worse than Ponderosa State Park) of mosquitoes at the beginning, so many crickets the grass moves and the biggest grasshoppers I've ever seen further in. Wear bug spray in the later/earlier hours for that beginning but rest assured most of the path just has a bunch of stink bugs and grasshoppers. The trail itself (after the initial portion) is very pretty. Lots of wonderful scenery and wildlife. You'll hear owls and see lizards and deer. It's mostly by running water which is relatively forested over but is similar to a canyon hike. There are many birds but they are more timid than most parks so bring a big lens if you want any great shots. Personally felt like my 300mm was about 200mm to short for anything decent.

love this trail! one of the best I've done so far

This was our first hike in the Boise area and it was a perfect loop of gradual ups and downs. Beautiful views while at the top and within the valleys.

Beautiful scenery and loved the river. However, did not find out dogs needed to be on leashes until we got there, so we got to stay for all of ten minutes. Tags for this trail need to be updated. Or if there is a part where dogs can go off leash, directions there or a mention in the description would have been nice.
