Flat path, very pedestrianized, and uneventful.

Just wrapped up that hike. Definitely feels like alpine but there’s quite a bit of road construction going on. Needs better signage. Rustic ski resort in every sense of the word.

Great trail! Not at all intimidating for beginning bikers. Some areas can be confusing as this trail becomes part of the larger Boise green belt trail system but can be navigated using map plaques along the trail. This was my first trail as a new mountain biker and I really enjoyed it!

Very nice work out. No shade and lots and lots of bugs. Stink bugs and those big crickets. It was eerie in some areas where the trail narrowed and you had to duck to avoid the over grown branches that blocked your path. You were surrounded by the sounds of all these bugs all around you. And you had to dodge the bugs that jumped out at you. This is why the low score. Not a fan of bugs but this was a bit much. Less dogie droppings. then some ;)

Great family hike, took the 2 mile loop which has a lot of pretty flowers and views. Good to be out of the smoke and heat of Boise. It started to get hot on the back trail without a lot of trees.

Caution!! Not as “Easy” as they rate. Good trail for hiking bad trail for biking. Huge boulders.

bit of a climb going up but not hard. beautuful rock formation on top. nice quick hike.

The trail has a different name if you’re following the map.
There is no shade for people and relatives boring.
I think might be better off just doing the table rock hike.
I’ll try again in the spring and fall.

Good cardio, but lots of cicadas jumping around (and at you!). Might just be the time of year. Will probably go back in the Fall!

My kids and I walked this trail today. It was amazing!! We saw so much wildlife, which made my kids excited. I can’t wait to go again!!

Could not find the trail head.

Me and my lil boys love this ride!

if you’re feeling up to it, take the extension! It’s about a 4 mile loop — lots of beautiful wildflowers and shade along the trail. Beware, the road up to the trailhead is closed until June 13, so until then, you’ll have to hike an extra 2 miles in each way (though if you have time, the hike in is also quite beautiful — Park at the Pioneer Condos and take some of the ski trails up to Schafer Butte.

Was going for Mores Loop but road blocked. Super short with nice spot for picnic or camping at top of loop. You can cut straight to Pioneer Lodge from this loop, so that made for a bit nicer view and hike. If you just need to get out of your vehicle and move for 20-30 minutes this is a good lil hike

Perfect for the family!

Nice decent hike. Easy enough for the kids.

Prior to June 1 the trailhead is closed and you will have to add some uphill to your hike from the Shafer Butte gate on Bogus Basin Road up to the trailhead. I went 2 more miles down the road and went in the backway on trail 198 Gorgeous! There is still a little snow, 3rd weekend in May. Wild flowers are just starting to bloom. The granite sand can be very slippery so choose your footwear carefully. I saw a Toyota Prius and a Honda Accord on the road. I took my Ford Taurus, and I made it in and out, but I DO NOT recommend it! I fear she shall never be the same.

Tranquil stroll on a treelined gravel path along the Boise River. No bikes allowed.

This is a very scenic drive around Bogus Basin to the Mores Mountain trailhead.

Nice shady trail at Bogus Basin with some obstacles and jumps for mountain bikers going downhill.

Nice trail, follows the winter cat track down from the top of Shafer Butte. Great views from the top.

Nice trail that climbs up towards the top of Shafer Butte. Combine it with Cabin Traverse, Tempest, and Sunshine for a nice loop around Bogus.

A peaceful and easy walk along the river.

My first time snowshoeing was on this trail and it was great. I would recommend for others looking to try snowshoeing.

Great trail. The lupine on the northeast face were absolutely amazing when I hiked it in July 2017.

Great uphill climb. No shade or trees so best to hike morning or on days where it isn’t as hot. There were some beautiful yellow flowers blooming. At the end of the homestead trail, you have the ability to continue uphill or downhill on the lucky peak trail.

This trail is actually several trails. All are fairly easy to moderate. Be careful to follow the signs, not just the paths. Great place to trail run. Most dogs are NOT on a leash. Park on the street, NOT in the parking lot.
Who Now Loop overlooks a beautiful golf course.

Great path that is paved and follows the river.

Snowshoed this yesterday. Loved it.

Was unable to access the trail in mid March. Not a year round trail for on foot. You can rent snow shoes or do cross country skiing but the trail is unmaintained for winter climates.
