Great view on Oahu West Coast!

beautiful walk to see both ocean, reefs, wikdlife and mountains of North West Oahu.

Beautiful waves. At at the end there a a beach. We saw seals and baby albatross. Long hike and very hot. Wear a hat.

One of my favorite trails on island. Gorgeous views of the mountains and ocean and lots of wildlife. You can see albatross at the end of the hike during mating season, and their babies a few months later. Usually an opportunity to see monk seals at the end, and in winter I have often seen whales breaching offshore around sunset.

A lot of brand new No Trespassing signs up on the neighborhood side.

Difficult trail. You need bug spray. We only hiked up about 5.5 miles. Took us 3.5 hours there and back. Very pretty jungle though.

Pretty. You don’t go to the top. More of a walk around the rock. Some trash and homeless huts.

Beautiful coastal and mountain views!! Easy hike.

There are many photos of the recent fire in the Waianae Ramble track.

Beautiful hiking spot along the cost line of Ke'aana point especially afternoon sunset is "AMAZING... You can do it

I thought the trail was great. A little sketchy driving in, seems to have been a wildfire recently(months or years). Park right at the trail head and be prepared for some inclines. As others have said, great views about 2/3 up. Once at the top, carefully walk around perimeter of radar installation for views of most of island. After that, prepare for a trip back down. My knees still hurt from the decline.

The first half mile or so is steep, but evens out a bit once you start the switchbacks. We didn’t cross to the spine (this time), but there are three pillboxes right before so we were good. Amazing views and scenery! Not a lot of shade, so if you need to, take a break where there is. Bring water. Lots of water.

Flat easy trail with amazing coastal views the entire way! Once you reach the point at the end there's a fence you pass and a sanctuary full of birds.

We parked at the beach near the trail road, I heard there have been break ins so keep your valuables on you.

very steep, yet well worth trail to the top of Oahu! ropes towards the top to help you. very interesting hike.

Easy trail. Gets hot and a little crowded but nice views.

Fun trail, but do this one early in the day or at sunset because during the day it can get really hot, bring lots of water, and enjoy the views!

A long flat hike, relaxing and mostly desolate. Once you get to the bird sanctuary, follow the outside of the fence. About 100ft from the downhill turn, you will see a trailhead to a group of 5 bunkers on the point. If you are going to do this hike, you must do these pillboxes. Out and back is around 6mi and there is 0 cover.

Hiked Sept 2018
This hike is a must do for the adventure lovers or thrill seekers on island. It’s not the most challenging or difficult hike but I still worked up a pretty good sweat and the sunset made it all worth it. It takes about 30 minuets or less to make it to the top and that’s including the 5 min selfie stops the wife took on the way up. I would suggest a head lamp if you plan to do a sunset hike because the rocks can be a little difficult to navigate on the way down with dwindling light.

Start as early as you can because the area is hot and dry. By mid morning it’s too hot.

A few weeks ago, a brush fire spread more than 1,500 acres in Waianae Valley. Yesterday’s hike was a humbling scene and an important reminder of the strength of fire.

Just about a nonstop uphill hike. I brought and 6L of water with me on this hike. I could have had a faster hike time, but there is so much to see and take in along the way. At the top please take extra care in the Reserve. Extremely fragile ecosystem and the top. Please follow all the rules posted on the signs by the gates. Endangered plant and wildlife.

This is a moderate climb. Sooo worth it. The views from the pillboxes were incredible.

great hike great views, more than expected

We started at 1045. Made it about 3.2 miles in and the trail died. We crossed a dried river bed, searched around and couldn't find a single trail marker. The trails we did find, were great. Bring lots of water. Oh, and my car got broken in to while on the trail!

amazing views!

Absolutely gorgeous “pink pill box” hike! Not super easy but worth it. Wouldn’t recommend for kids. Bring water because it’s sunny!
