So the hike to the falls is pretty easy-family friendly really.

The real fun & adventure begins past the falls as you climb a steep (& extremely muddy this past weekend) incline to get to the Secret Bridge which I have since named Sketchy Bridge. It is not for the faint hearted to cross. I was pretty damn scared on the thing-it even shook a bit when I was on it but man it was exhilarating!

Moss slides past the bridge are super fun! It would be cool to hang there with some beers (pack out what you pack in) & slip n slide.

Tip: spikes are a good idea after rain; mosquitoe spray AND always be considerate of the neighborhood you’re in.

Hiked almost 2miles of this trail on 4/17/18. Beautiful trail! Great views (and spots for pictures)! Easy to find with the directions provided. It really is like being on another planet - walking on all the lava rocks! Make sure to wear proper footwear; there can be sharp rocks at times. Take extra water and sunscreen (even if there are a few clouds out, the sun WILL burn you!)

I wish we would’ve had more time to finish the hike. I will definitely return to finish!

Spectacular hike although it was a little muddy in sections. Trekking poles would have been nice. The views at the terminus were amazing. Great alternative to the Kalalau lookout trail. I would highly recommend it!

Easy hike. Beautiful views

Short nice trail up to the top of Sleeping Giant! Beware it's easy to get lost in one part though - make sure you head left and up the mountain instead of straight once you reach the forest clearing area. Otherwise you will end up on a different trail that will lead you to another trail head instead of up the mountain. Also don't go when it's raining - it can get slippery, and I fell pretty hard! But on sunny days it's wondrous and well worth the amazing views :)

Straight trail all the way up on the old rail track. Little areas on it where you can stop and catch your breath on the way up. Great view on the top! A little bit harder going down since steps can be a bit wide.

Fun hike. Most people stop around the 1.5mile mark where there’s a table and rest area. Make sure to get out of the airfield before they close-otherwise security has to let you out after you go and find them.

22 year old Aussie Looking for someone to hike this trail with over then next ten days that I’m here contact me via Instagram @liamk35

I’ve done this trail a few times and it’s really fun. MAKE SURE YOU GO ON A CLEAR SKIES DAY. If there are low hanging clouds or you go early in the morning you can’t see anything from the top. Trail can be pretty muddy sometimes and if you’re hiking in the dark there are low hanging branches that you can hit your head on.

In the middle of the trail there is a covered picnic table to take a break at.

Very short trail. You have to pay to park here and the trail is always busy. At sunrise there are nice views

Very short trail. Paved the whole way so it’s good for strollers and/or people who need easy hikes with good footing. There’s whale watching spots and ocean lookouts.

Towards the top of the trail there’s an unmarked trail down to tidepools-but be careful it can be dangerous

Climbed down from the ridge trail onto the arch. You could see where all the rockclimbers had anchored their ropes. Climbing down the arch without gear was a little sketchy but overall went well. There’s great views overlooking Hanauma Bay

All-time favorite hike. It’s very fun and challenging. Trail is clearly marked and it’s hard to get lost.

Fun trail to run. It can be pretty crowded and parking can be hard to find due to the proximity of the beach. The trail itself has multiple ways to the top so every time can be different. A few small places to rock climb. At the top there is a beautiful view of the beach and at sunrise it’s indescribable!

Very busy trail. I’ve done this trail a dozen times and have never seen it empty.

Trail is muddy so bring towels or extra shoes to protect your car

Very fun hike. You’re at the cliff edge almost he whole time. I went up the stairs and then down to this hike. Lots of rocks to climb up onto for fun photo opportunities.

It was a nice short hike, I don't think I'd rate it "moderate" compared to other "easy" hikes we have done on oahu, I'd say it was easy. It hadn't been to rainy lately so the mud was available. Beautiful trees, flowers, birds, views, & pigglets!

Nice park and beach for surfers. If you’re not a surfer, this is a nice stopover towards Hana where you can enjoy the views. There are rock outcropping a but be careful around the ride pools.

You can do this trail without a tour guide, but respect the land and people around you! Great waterfall at the end, not the best swimming hole water I’ve seen. Definitely do if you are visiting Molokai!

I had never done this hike because I preferred the swinging bridges hike that has since closed. Wow, it was breath taking and wonderful. Loved it!

Simply the best views imaginable. most people we saw going down had flip flops on, would recommend proper shoes. the trail is right on the ridge in many places so if you aren't a sure-footed hiker maybe just stay at the lookout where the trail begins.

Pretty good hike but the view at the end was money!!!!

Using this app was a life saver otherwise very confusing trail.

Well worth it!

Hiked today 4/22 at 9am. Street parking was easy and safe. Expect mud and to get your shoes and shorts muddy. The trail comes to a y as your start to decent towards the water. If you go right, You'll end up downstream and will have to hike up 1/4 mile to the falls. We jumped off the lower pool cliff into a 10ft pool. Upper falls was beautiful! We joined two other parties during the hike and had fun. Mahalo.

Very fun and challenging hike, you will feel like a baby deer walking down it though!

Amazing flowers and plants. Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful views at the top and the military history is neat. Had a guy feint from heat at the top who had to be flown out by helicopter. Not a long hike but stay hydrated with the heat and stairs.
