Nice area. Make sure to go on high tide as it won’t “blow” at low tide. Bring lots of water it can get hot and hiking shoes or at least tennis shoes. You can go just to the overlook which is not difficult. But if you climb down be sure to have the right footwear. There are other coves beyond that are really nice as well. Be respectful and do not get near the blowhole. Keep your eye on the sea as I have heard some have been washed away or fallen into the hole.

All paved trail around an old golf course. Very good incline to the midway point. A few good view points from higher areas of the ocean

Short and fairly easy trail down to the Nakalele blowhole. There are a few steep areas that may cause you to slip if you are in flip flops so be careful. Bring some water and a change of clothes if you wanna get wet from the blow hole. Be careful and don't fall in!

Nice walk. I wouldn’t say it’s moderate but it’s probably rated that way because of the short uphill to get back to the parking lot. The blowhole is small but nice. Beautiful Hawaii views.

Not really a hike, just a more difficult walk/ billy goating to the blow hole. Great views, unique terrain - the rocks are unusual and fun to look at, blow hole ok.

Super easy, great views.

Looks like I'm one of the rare clockwise route-takers. Stunning views from this direction as well. Wonder what I missed out from not going counter-clockwise?! Super easy, stunning hike. Highly recommended!

Great hike! Very rocky and steep going up and down. Be prepared for a foot and eye coordinated hike. Views are worth it when inconsiderate people aren't pushing past you for a better view. :)

We were looking forward to this hike. Should have read the recent reviews before driving to it. Gate was closed. Trail is SUPER overgrown. Lost trail beyond the gate almost immediately. Maybe next time?

What parking? It’s all valet

Amazing views. Very rock but worth it!!!! l

Short walk to the first beautiful view. Lots of rocks to traverse down to the first blowhole and we kept going to the next one. Fairly easy overall. It was almost Mars-like between the two blowholes, really cool terrain. I’d definitely do it again if I was in the area.

This is a quick little jaunt to a cool view. We were there April 2018 and there were quite a few folks of all ages. You can walk half way, three quarters or all the way next to the blow hole. I was surprised that many of the folks that went all the way down were in flip flops. We had hiking boots which made it easy. We mostly enjoyed the walk back up because we felt like we got some exercise. It was fun but not difficult but worth the excursion. Enjoy!

This is a great walk!

It was a nice short wall for the kids. Thai would not qualify as a hike for my 5 and 6 year old.

Beautiful! Easy hike. Make sure you go counter clockwise.

So great!

Aka Dragons Teeth. Easy hike from Kapalua or D.T. Fleming Beach. Great views and awesome sea spray in the craggy shoreline.

Very busy trail, but worth the hassle of so many people. Make sure to check tide charts and go around high tide (+/- 2 hours or so) for best effect. As others have mentioned, I suggest hiking shoes or sturdy sandals, not flip flops.

How could it be anything’s my but 5 stars when you’re running in Maui? Beautiful views and happy faces.

We enjoyed it! Easy and beautiful vantage points.

Not really a trail as much as walkway between two hotels.

This hike is super busy and less than a mile but certainly worth doing. I would suggest shoes instead of flip flops as I saw lots of people triping and falling in flip flops. The blow hole is cool and to the right is the heart rock. Great photo ops.

Easy walking trail, as others mentioned better to do early in the morning.

Shoes are better than flip flops for this hike, which is more like a steep downhill rock hop to the blow hole and steep climb back up. It’s fun down at the hole, though slippery. Never turn your back on the ocean.

A gentle, serene hike with very slight elevation change. Good for littles. Definitely walk it counter clockwise for best experience. Dirt/grass trail is nice for walking. Whales, Hawaii native plants, dramatic coast views. Take water and also stop at one of the snack trucks for a shaved ice on your way back! You may not get cellular service so cue up before you leave. The trailhead is marked but you need to watch for it.
