love Hamama good for exercise, views, and cooling off after a nice workout

This was a pretty cool hike. We did this with the little guys (7 & 4) in slippas with ease. The pool is cool but if it’s crowded just go a few more steps up the trail to the bridge and get in there. Not as deep but just as refreshing. The waterfall was worth the hike. Go early to ensure you have some time to yourself. It gets pretty crowded midday. Nice way to spend a Sunday with ohana!!

Awesome place and with a nice swimming area. Unfortunately I lost my knock off go pro there and am more concerned with losing all the great pictures I took than the camera itself. So if anyone finds it u are more than welcome to keep the camera I just want the memory card. (contour camera)

easy to find. did it with 2 kids (ages 7 and 4). weather was good, can see slippery areas if it had rained. views were awesome.

beautiful after a bunch of rain. fun to hang out and cool off. very easy hike

My favorite workout spot!!

Probably my favorite waterfall on island. The pool at the beginning of the trail is so clear and refreshing. The hike up is not very shaded. It is a great hike for experienced children hikers.

This is a short hike near the Byodo In Temple. There are some nice flowers and a pretty nice view of Kaneohe Bay. Good for a quick stop.

Awesome little hike, the falls is awesome and very unique, BUT, the real treasure comes early in the hike as there is a nice little pond to swim in.

Loved the foliage! Found a couple of Jasmine trees that were incredibly fragrant! Beautiful hike with lots of fascinating plants.

Could someone tell me how the parking is?

Beautiful botanical garden. With lots of plants and flowers and nice view to the lake. Fun for everyone and interesting to visit.

Easy, but on rainy days might get too muddy and slippery. Beautiful and short trail with a nice waterfall at the end. Great for families and pets, too.

Worth the climb for the great view of Kaneohe Bay

Nice short hike with a good scenic photo opp and decent water falls, if you soon after a rain. Took my five year old and she didn't have any issues. Hard gravel pack on entire trail.

This is arguably one of the most beautiful places I have visited on Oahu. Flowers, beautiful tress, several kinds of fruit trees, birds and fresh air. The Mountains in the background offer a wonderful backdrop and make you feel like you are miles away from civilization. The Lake has a ton of various species of fish that come right up to the shoreline waiting to be feed. Wonderful experience for my boys. If you want you can stay on the paved road, or go off road using the trails. The Older woman at the visitors Center was so warm and welcoming.

One of my favorites. The view at the end is breathtaking!

A beautiful track. Not sure if the map is accurate, there are also a few other side tracks but I followed the main track at all times, turned left and then left before a large Chinese banyan and entered the Chinese bamboo garden then followed up and went left again to the lookout, I then tracked back along the ridge and climbed through grassy track upward steel incline with assistance of the ropes and my walking stick. I then came to a fenced off power area/a grassy clearing and turned around back that way I had come, then past the first view point and back onto the loop, and kept to the main path the whole time. There was what looked like a steep path down past the fenced off power (which I thought might complete the loop) but I ran into a local who advised to go back the way we’d walked, so I did. On the way down there were heaps of large pines, very different to the way up. Birds singing. Just gorgeous. Enjoy.

Nice surroundings of mountains and garden .

Wonderful view at the end, but this was a hard trail for me. Several areas are very steep, thankfully a rope is there for some help. If it’s raining don’t go. You’ll never make it up the hills. They’re very slick already.

Worth the hike. Beautiful!

Easy trail with some incline. Great for kids and dogs. Water fall is beautiful. The water pound is half way mark. Parking is street parking just be respectful to the neighborhood and residents. Overall nice hike, will come again.

Great workout with bonus waterfall at the end

Good hike for groups with various skill levels. The trail is wide but does have some steep grades. Wear good shoes. The falls were thick since it had recently rained. Some pics uploaded showing trail entrance and places throughout. Be respectful of the residential neighborhood.

Fairly easy, wide trail. Small waterfall at the top is fun to dunk your head in and the pool near the bottom is a great way to cool off.

Awesome trail with beautiful views of the bay! Steep slope at the beginning makes it a little challenging on a wet day.

The view is amazing, definitely worth the hike. It is a little steep and really slippery at some points. Park at McDonald's, the trail is off the highway right after the apartment complex. There are markers throughout the trail but easy to miss, just follow the most trekked path. It's a little less than 2 miles to get to the top. We completed it with 3 kids and a baby in a carrier.

No parking. Park at McDonalds and walk along the highway. The beginning of the trail is easy to miss but there is a yellow marker to show the beginning. My group, 3 mid 20 year olds, did this hike after it rained in the morning and this was a difficult slippery hike and we fell multiple times and got very muddy. Besides that we loved the challenge and loved the beautiful scenery on the way up. And then the views from the top were amazing. We recommend.

Such a good hike!! We did it today and it rained (not too hard) on and off the entire time. Parking is along the side of the residential road. Please don’t park in front of any mail boxes or driveways, be mindful of people that live here and walk quietly to the trail head. Trail begins at the dead end of the road at the “do not enter, Federal property” sign. Go around the left side of the fence and follow the main gravel/dirt/mud road all the way to the falls. Don’t venture off the road onto any tiny side trails, most of them are monitored by cameras and don’t lead to the Hanauma falls. There is a swimming hole at a clearing to the left about half way to the falls. People jump in but it is monitored by cameras as well. There is another set of smaller falls to the left of the large Hanauma falls, or at least there is when it’s raining like today. Such a nice easy hike!

This is a beautiful hike! So many pretty plants and trees. The stream that runs along is beautiful too with a pond many swim in. The waterfall is beautiful and peaceful. Trail was well traveled and in pretty good shape. Would be muddy if raining.
