A nice morning hike for the first day of spring!!! A couple other hikers are out this morning as well. Squirrels and chipmunks are all along the trail. In and out by noon. Great trail for a quick day hike!!

This is definitely my favorite leisurely trail. There are a good number of side trails as well that offer more of a challenge. Overall, it’s nearly perfect.

Great hike! Strenuous but worth it for the views

Amazing Hike Loved it!!!

Great park and highly recommend coming here. Quite and not a lot of people.

Two short sections under power lines — but worth it to get into the woods. We went after a rain and it was a bit of a bog. There are elevated walkways on portions and bridges across larger water features. A great hike that is surprising is in town.

We enjoyed this beautiful place last weekend.

Several paths to take form long to short easy to moderate. Wildlife....birds, deer......snakes near the water. One of the paths cuts through a neighborhood. That’s kind of cool.

Great trails on the east side of the Chattahoochee. Nice views of the river and the overlooks are spectacular. Well worth the $5 parking fee. Get there early on the weekend. It fills up fast.

I walk this several times a week. Never gets old. Love watching the seasons change there. From the squirrels to the deer to the ducks. A great place when combined with George Pierce Park.

We wanted to do the entire loop, and web site says dog friendly. However dogs are not allowed on stair down to the gorge. My son and I did the stairs and my Husband has to stay with dog. That was very disappointing. We did do the north and south rim and both were nice walks dog friendly and beautiful views. Would like to do it again without the dog, but not sure I can do stairs again tomorrow. Only giving 4 stars, because info was wrong and not totally dog friendly.

Definitely not moderate- should be classified as easy. Some slight elevation and pretty smooth. Remember to pay to park- 5usd

Nice trial, some slight elevation, well marked, decent views. Remember to pay 5usd to park.

Trails were confusing at first. A few unmarked splits but all in all it’s a great little loop. Will be back out there again.

Fun trail. Steep and quick. Starts off easy, but when u hit the steps!!! Get ready. Nice view at the top. Once you get to the amphitheater it’s really it as far as view...trail continues a bit, but eventually turns into a vehicle access road, don’t know where that ends up, would be fun if ur a runner.

Very nice walking trail, well marked and not too many people. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet hike in nature.

We hiked both loops. Heading left/south/clockwise for both is definitely the more strenuous direction - much steeper climbs over shorter distances.

I had waited for a decent rain before hitting the trail, and it was definitely worth the wait - the falls were beautiful.

the waterfall is beautiful

So much wildlife! We saw alligators, wood storks, armadillo, and turkey. A really memorable trip. Not all the trails are well marked and there are many service trails, so at times this hike was confusing even with the map. Even so, this trail is a must see.

very nice trail, the signage was a little confusing. I would definitely go again.

A tree took out a large part of the upper viewing platform, so you couldn’t see the upper Falls well, but besides that, it’s a nice hike. Wish you could get down to the water more easily but if you back track when you come down the stairs, you can access the river.

Skip this trail if you want to go hiking in the woods. The only walking trails are really paved beside the river. Once you’re in the woods, it’s a constant barrage of mountain bikes speeding toward you and then getting upset if you don’t see them in time.

Great afternoon hike.

Nice place and quick stop off interstate to explore. The sounds birds chirping, sound of water rushing down the rocks, butterflies everywhere so relaxing after Atlanta traffic! Seen people doing yoga by the cascades. Very cool!!

Historic Jackson Hill was the location of Fort Norton, an earthen fortification system which defended Rome during the Civil War. It has several trails to choose from, all very easy to get to and to hike. Today, winding trails provide a quiet getaway just blocks from Downtown Rome. Outdoor exhibits include the Boswell Cabin Trailhead, a cotton gin, replicas of Civil War-era cannons.

I found this trail to be easy going down and hiking along the paths at the bottoms of the canyon. Coming up provided a first class workout as you climb up 600 stairs. But the beautiful views, the scenic river, the gorgeous waterfalls made it all worthwhile. The sights and sounds were amazing and beyond what I was hoping to find there. Loved it and will be taking friends back to visit this trail again.

Tough son of a B, so rewarding! Awesome cliff side views at the top of you stay to the right. Then you get a wide open field for campin out at the top (if you stay left when you get to the top you get to the wide open spots quicker.. so If you’re getting there late to set up camp.. stay left lol then check out the rock side views in the daylight) definitely would recommend trekkin poles!!
