cold, damp weekday my dog and I enjoyed this walk. We saw one other couple, it's easy to get turned around and lose your way when you walk this trail for the first time.

My son is named after this place ... will always be my serenity ...

pretty easy, but super beautiful

I will start off by saying maybe this issue was because of the government shut down and having no forest rangers. However, this trail was being used by squirrel hunters and there were people hunting right off the parking lot for the trail head. WE COULD SEE THEM SHOOTING FROM THE TRAIL HEAD! Needless to say this was a 3 hour round trip wasted because we didn’t feel safe hiking with so many (obviously irresponsible) people shooting that close to the trail.

Very nice and scenic trail. Not much elevation change and pretty well marked. I will definitely do this trail again.

Love this short trail. Rarely see anyone. Good climbing. Good downhill. Not well marked. Nice river views. Picnic table at the top. Boardwalk first half mile. Hike or trail run

Like others have said, the rocks on the red trail can be tricky. Almost more like bouldering. I did take my dog and she loved it, so it is possible with dogs. Taking the white trail back avoids having to go back over the rocks and trades distance for the more rugged parts of the red trail.

Very challenging trail for me, as it was my first back country camping trip, luckily I had my brother in law with me who has been here a couple of times and he was a big help. We did the trail clockwise and had no reals issue other than being out of shape with a heavy pack on. The trail is clearly marked and I agree with some of the other reviews that the mile markers are not entirely accurate. Please be cautious, as the the leaves and rocks are extremely slippery due to the recent rains. It took us a 3.5 hours to get to our campsite (3) and the next morning it took us 2 hours finish. I consider this moderate to strenuous. I will definitely hike this trail again.

Stunningly beautiful. Lots of different trails to follow

My wife and I hike this trail on a regular basis with our two Golden Retrievers. We all love it!
There are always friendly people on the trail, and we often run into through-hikers of the Appalachian Trail
The views are fantastic!

Nice hike , haven’t hiked for about a year and it wasn’t bad.

This is one of my favorite hikes in the Kennesaw Mt Park, but on the trail maps and at the trail head, it's called the Nose's Creek loop trail. My kids love this hike and we alternate directions we'll hike it on each visit but we do agree that doing it counter clockwise (as you look at the map) is our preferred direction.

Love this trail! Great for a short hike in the woods, going to the right from the trail head marker (Homestead Trail sign) puts the lake on your right for about half the hike, the second half is then back in the woods.

A few guys and I hiked the whole trail in two days. If you do not want to camp you can stay at the Mountain Top lodge. You hit Hines Gap Rd roughly at mile mark 12 and the lodge is .7 miles from this point. We used two vehicles one was staged at the lodge and the other at the trailhead. The next morning we moved one vehicle to the end of the trail.

Beautiful easy trail. It was clean and not crowded. Lots of parking and a huge bonus for being dog friendly.

Selected this trail since it had waterfalls and was the shortest looking trail on the map as we passed through. Did not consult AllTrails... lady at visitor center said “you know it’s 1200 steps?” And I said to myself ...”is that a lot? I can do 12k steps in a shift at work”...
What I didn’t hear was STAIRSTEPS. Lots and lots. Thank goodness for all the little landings to wait for my heart to slow back down. Well worth the journey, though!
And I agree re dogs and the grated steps... ours would not have made it very far had we brought him.

Hiking, Beautiful place. Waterfall.

Awesome trail!

Great easy hike today in the misty rain. The poplar tree is much bigger in person than in pics! Trail was great. Very beautiful area. Only about a mile hike to the tree.

Such a fun, easy to moderate hike! The summit is well worth it, even in the fog!!! We had two dogs and made it easily. Went on a chilly Sunday and it was practically empty!

Take the western loop clockwise to avoid hiking down rocks!

Three of us hiked the trail from the country store to the TV tower this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the views and the trail itself. Stopped half way and stayed overnight at Mountain Top Inn. Really good two-dayer!

Great for walking with kids!

Good hard hike with the best views I have ever seen besides the grand canyon and I'm afraid of heights so couldn't get to close to the edge. Will for sure do it again! So pretty!

Family friendly hike around the park with a nice view and woods

We did almost 11 miles of the 22 mile Pine Mountain Trail today and took the Sawtooth cut. Tomorrow we are hitting the rest.
