I hit the West Rim Loop today and it was amazing! The trails were well-marked and very well-maintained. Took me right at 3 hours and I was moving at a moderate pace with several stops for water breaks and picture takes! Definitely one I’d do again.

great hike with some good views

great hike and lots of civil war history

Easy hike about .5 mile to the falls but we kept going for a little ways. Easy but pretty hike very much worth it if your ever in the area.

Great little hike. Most of it is easy but about 1/4 mile is uphill. Nice camping spots along the trail!

Kwame, if you want to do the whole trail, go up the east side first. That way you do not have to commit to a line. But i would be careful if you are stock and do not have a a lift for extra clearance.

I drove down the East side on 8/4/2018 in an Off-Road Tacoma with a 2+ inch suspension lift. Note that the road about 2.5 miles in from the East entrance is washed out. Looks like an earthquake opened the road up, and only one "passable" portion to the right (if you are going up). I can almost guarantee you will need a winch. The 5 jeeps I passed all needed to winch out. And the 2 jeeps behind me (along with myself) had to as well.

The BMTA volunteers did an amazing job on this Re-route! So clean and beautiful! It was so nice to be the only ones there! Peaceful and serene to just sit and listen to the sound of the water, birds and leaves blowing in the slight breeze! Thank you!

10.7 miles? Maybe around 16 according to mile marker signs

Loved every second of the hike and such natural beauty!!

It was absolutely amazing and so beautiful!! Loved every second of the hike!!

The East loop is nice, and the rock quarry is a good place to rest and take a lunch.
West loop is tough, but could use a little upkeep due to some overgrowth.
Both trials are good for training for more advanced hikes.

Says dog friendly, but we drove an hour and a half to essentially be told we would have to carry him to the gorge floor. Don't be fooled, you can totally enjoy all the other loops; like we did! The gorge floor is permit only and NOT, NOT a real path. It is a foot path at a 45 incline up and down through the forest over roots and slippery rocks. It is a treacherous hike. The only path we couldn't go on way the "Hurricane Outlook" path because people had died there the day before. The stairs are a fun one, but if you get easily dizzied or don't like hieghts, I recommend you do NOT do it. I wish I would've known about the gorge floor thing before we had gotten there so I wouldn't have been disappointed.

Tough hike for me but well worth the views at the top. Will do this one again.

Nice trail little muddy good visibility on trail and easy to follow markers, not much for photos to dense over all very enjoyable.

Trail is tough. Not super crowded. No views, but beautiful area. Summer growth is over taking trail in places.

Not a bike trail. Spent most of the time carrying the bike. Listed as EASY. Wrong listing.

Beautiful and remote. Great to bring the dogs and kids. Easy hike and great creek access!

Nice walk with family, dog and small kids. Are at least two beaches along the trail for dogs and kids.

Nice hike. We combined it with Stanley Gap. The falls are great. Be careful if at the top, a young man slipped and fell when we were there. Several people at the falls, but that should be expected, especially in the summer.

Beautiful. Loved the views. Multiple snack encounters. Each with copperheads and very large rattle snack. Otherwise lovely!! Haha!

Easy hike!!

Peaceful and enjoyable hike.

Trail was kinda rough and saw a large snake so was nervous for the rest of hike.

Nice, short trail with water views. Perfect trail for kids.

This trail has a good mix of ups and downs. Great for exercise

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state, in my opinion.

Don’t mind the signs, jump the fence and take a dip at your peril, the water is great! ;)

Gorgeous trail with a great rest stop at the inn, in which you can book a night

Beautiful, but very short

This was such a fun trail with multiple beautiful overlooks at the top. Most people turn left onto the AT when they make it to the intersection and are met with a steep incline and tons of rocks, but if you curve to the right and continue onto Byron Reese, you will have a slow and much more doable incline. We did this and thought the trail was fairly easy because of it. Wear good shoes and socks! The trail is so rocky.
