Because of all of the rain we have had, south loop is currently closed, but all other trails are open including all of Dwelling, Mosquito flats and bite, and all others other than south loop. The trail condition is great the dust and rocks are great and no spots are muddy. Everyone should get a chance to ride these great conditions before the weather gets depressing again

It's a moderate climbe of approx 2k feet. Nearest camping and recreational area in town. Their are designated trails for every aged people. Paths are clean and you get bench to seat every 50 meters. Which helps older people to rest on the way to summit. An easy run for youngsters though.. Get your dog and run to the top. .!!

Nice hike. Easy about 30 min hike. Watch out for bicyclists.

Fell in love right away, I recommend this to everyone who loves to hike, it’s definitely the Grand Canyon of the east coast and perfect for camping and a great workout with friends or family.

This trial was amazing, cold, but amazing and so much beautiful scenery!

The weather today was perfect for hiking. Although this is a short trail that’s pretty easy, the overlook toward the west, the fire tower and the stone wall make this hike pretty cool. This would be a great trail for the kids as it can be educational with the info provided on the plaques at the tower and wall.

Great trail for my family, 11yo and 7 yo

Started off seeing the marble cave first and the rest of the hike was smooth after that.

Roads from both directions are closed until April 1st- . Drove a lot today to find that out! No formal notices posted as to why, one showed a detour which was still closed, one was just a closed gate.

It was a very nice and chilled out hike.

This was my first time back since the forest fires and storms. The blow downs made the trail a little bit harder than before, but it was already a really tough hike to begin with, a few downed trees did not make it considerably much harder than it already was.

All the downed and burnt out trees did make me a bit sad though. I camped at the spot just above the falls, and all of the dead wood was a mess, the place just isn’t as pretty as it use to be, it now has more of a disaster area type of feel, spooky and foreboding.

Still, all the recent rains made the water flow high, and I’ve never seen the waterfall flowing better, it’s still an amazing and one of a kind place.

Nice trail. Not to long or difficult with nice waterfalls about halfway.

Nice hike along the water with lots of places to look at the water and the numerous falls along the way to the top. Muddy trail and some of the parts of the trail were a little nerve racking with a four year old, but overall great hike and would recommend it to anyone. Trail itself is smooth with some sharp drop offs

As others have said, not very scenic until the end by the canyons but a nice trail none the less. There were a couple of steep climbs. The start of the trail was sandy and very wet, actually has running water and we had to kind of walk around the edge. Met one of the employees who said come back in a few weeks for the best time to see blooms, we will be back.

It was really fun, most of it was steep but had some really amazing views

easy trail and good for the kids

This had a pathway that was a very easy walk. Took no time at all. Not much of a “hike” but a very nice walk that leads to the beautiful falls!

Good, simple afternoon walk. Love the mountain view over the lake!

Nice short hike. My two sons 9 & 14 acted like we just hiked the Appalachian Trail

First day of backpacking trip.
Lots of trees blown down in path, but not too hard to go around.
Beautiful hike.

Well marked trail

Fairly easy trail along the creek and down to the lake with beautiful views. A few areas where our dog could swim in the lake. Saw just one person on trail today in mid March. Unfortunately there was a lot of trash on trail.

Nice wooded trails in the woods and near the river. Lots of confusing intersections. We were originally worried about getting lost, but realized that you can always follow the river back. Not very hilly but a nice walk in the woods with some paved trails, some large grassy areas where you could throw a frisbee, clean bathrooms at the entrance. Free parking. Playground for kids.

Great Mostly Flat Trail!

Nice short neighborhood trail to feel like your out of the city a little bit.
Not recommended is the off shoot trail to the right at the bottom of the main steps towards the Power plant is a bit sketchy with lots of trash, an unsteady drop-off to the creek, and multiple homeless encampments.

Nice wide easy trail for families. Waterfall is very nice and good photo op.
