Amazing first half is the easiest but totally worth it.

Beautiful falls all along the trail. The traffic got a little heavy on our way out. If you want to see the falls at the end of the trail you’ll have to climb rocks to see it. Not for kids or people with knee problems. My mom was somewhat disappointed because she couldn’t see the falls at the end.

You can access this trail from main overlook/parking area, top parking area, and 2 of the campsites. Beautiful rock formations to climb on, and views of course!

It was wonderful

Super afternoon day hike with my dog..
Trail are well marked, well maintained and the lake is beautiful in early spring.

My favorite trail to run over my lunch break (I work at UGA)! Trails aren’t marked so I’ve gotten turned around before, but it’s a nice place to take the dog for a walk or hang a hammock! Note: construction is going on now near the entrance; I think they are clearing some of the woods to improve the off leash dog park

Perfect running trail! Shady in summertime and flat! Beautiful little creek runs along it; saw a blue heron here last week. 4 miles between sandy creek nature center and sandy creek park (lake Chapman) so you can get in your 8 mile run easy or even add the 7 mile loop around the lake if you run that far.

Short walk for the smaller one. Will try the others another time.

Beautiful trail. Also I walked the connecting blue and the blue and green trails around the cabins and driving range all while hubby was golfing. Saw several Eastern Bluebirds, an Eastern Towhee, a Bluejay, Chickadee, Robbins a Piliated Woodpecker and another smaller woodie I couldn’t see well enough to ID.

Pretty walk. Lots of stairs for a good workout. The falls was beautiful

I take this route to get to class whenever I can. Absolutely beautiful!

One of my favorites.

A nice, relaxing trail that the whole family, even the canine members, can enjoy. The water scape segment of the trail has interpretative signs that tell about the area’s interesting history and environment. The park is popular with area photographers who use the attractive backgrounds for engagement, wedding, and maternity photos. The trail is also popular for locally sponsored Fun Runs and school cross country meets.

A nice morning hike for the first day of spring!!! A couple other hikers are out this morning as well. Squirrels and chipmunks are all along the trail. In and out by noon. Great trail for a quick day hike!!

This is definitely my favorite leisurely trail. There are a good number of side trails as well that offer more of a challenge. Overall, it’s nearly perfect.

This definitely was a tough one for a day hike. Legs completely sore the day after, but extremely worth it. Most of the trail going up you’re surrounded by dense forests and will be going through many switchbacks. Once you get closer to the parking area at the top, the trail gets milder and easier. The parking area is a great location to refuel and buy snacks if needed. Then the last half mile is on a paved path to the top. The observation tower at the top was quite unique and views were amazing as you can see for miles in all directions. You are clearly able to tell you are at the tallest point in Georgia here. The path is very easy follow and relatively straightforward. Took a little less than 7 hours to complete. Definitely recommend, but be aware of a difficult and exhausting hike.

Daughter was in a leg cast just in time for vacation so I needed some trails that were paved or easy to maneuver with our jogging stroller. This did the trick. We were able to hike along the river while the rest of our party did the stairs to the bottom of the gorge.

Great hike! Strenuous but worth it for the views

Ask for a map at the park entrance.

Amazing Hike Loved it!!!

Great park and highly recommend coming here. Quite and not a lot of people.

Two short sections under power lines — but worth it to get into the woods. We went after a rain and it was a bit of a bog. There are elevated walkways on portions and bridges across larger water features. A great hike that is surprising is in town.

We enjoyed this beautiful place last weekend.

Nice hike. Not sure why they says it’s 5.1 miles. We took the long route and it wasn’t quite four miles. Still a good workout with a nice view of a waterfall.

Several paths to take form long to short easy to moderate. Wildlife....birds, deer......snakes near the water. One of the paths cuts through a neighborhood. That’s kind of cool.

Great hike and well maintained paths.

Great trails on the east side of the Chattahoochee. Nice views of the river and the overlooks are spectacular. Well worth the $5 parking fee. Get there early on the weekend. It fills up fast.

Great Trail, super views.

Beautiful hike with lots of options within the system. Long 4+ plus miles to short 1 mile easy loop. Big minus...dog poo. All over the path and in bags. Pickup after yourself.

I walk this several times a week. Never gets old. Love watching the seasons change there. From the squirrels to the deer to the ducks. A great place when combined with George Pierce Park.
