Very easy walk to see two old locks used on the canal. Can walk to the end to the Ogeechee River.

Did this around Easter this year with a 3 year old strapped to my back. Nice and easy trail, but needed to forward ~6 inch deep tidal steam to compete our circuit.

Part of the circuit was still closed from a hurricane last year.

This is a nice little out and back trail with plenty of shade from the trees, pretty scenery, and historical remnants of the barge locks. There are several interpretive signs, and benches to sit and enjoy the views of the waterways. The main trail is short but taking the side trails made for a good trail run.

I’ve done this one several times. It’s flat and has some cool views of the marshes.

very nice and easy to follow. not sure why it's considered moderate though, I'd say it is easy. friendly folks along the trails also.

decent local trail

girls and I had a great time. youngest got to climb a tree that was in the water. part of the trial is still blocked. but it was March and we didn't have any bugs yet

comfortable walking trail with interesting views and info along the way. will be back.

The trails are pretty good. Lot more to see, if you hike all the trails, not just the main 1.5 mile one. Definitely go during low tide. The rivers in the area can rise more than 6 feet at high tide.

very nice trails, there's a donation box there as well $3 per adult. I don't think its stroller friendly. doesn't take long to go through the whole thing

Great hike. Be prepared to tread through some small shallow water areas at high tide.

For when you're tying to get a "woods" fix in coastal GA.

Full of mosquitos. Bridge to the lookout was closed. Nothing to write home about.

Fun ! Lots of cool trees to climb, places to kayak in from. Bring big spray . No step on snek.

Nice trail , if you dare to go past the erosion you can still pull the full 6 miles , be warned the tides will come in and you will be stuck if you don't want to swim the broken trail .. check tide chart , if you go close to dark bring flashlight and protection, looks like some squatters have been camping there the past couple weeks! Beautiful views!!! And dolphins . Contact me if you wanna trail partner !

The trail is beautiful with many great views, but has been damage because of Hurricane Matthew. I ran this trail in January and at mile 3.45 there is a bridge that can no longer be crossed. I ran the second part of the trail in February and it seemed to damaged in scattered spots. I went back in late March and was difficult to run because there were so many bees. I would recommend to run this trail in the fall and winter. The second part of the trail is way better.

Beautiful trail and there's actually about 4 miles of trails if you want to keep going instead of just the out and back.

beautiful views, but be aware that parking is limited, and dogs are not permitted on the trail.

Great trail with great views

Beautiful photo opportunities! The Skidaway trails truly show the beauty that coastal Georgia has to offer. The trails are pretty easy. Wooden boardwalks cover parts of the marshes. A small part of the trail is closed off from the hurricane. The up rooted trees just adds to the beauty of it all. Picnic areas, clean restrooms, dog friendly! $5 parking fee.

Easy hike and temps good at this time of year. Lots of people with dogs. You can see evidence of Hurricane Matthew with many trees down. Can't walk out to Observation Tower currently.

This trail is a nice little walk. It's not long, but a great trail to bring your dog for a short walk. There are places to stop off and sit to enjoy the views. Wasn't able to go on the Big Ferry Trail Loop, which was under maintenance. The other 2 are nice.

Nice walk. Some good marsh views but mostly back in the trees.

As of Jan 10, 2017, this trail is only open on Wednesdays from sunrise to sunset. I went today but unfortunately the trail was closed and barricaded off.

Very pretty trail system with views of surrounding marsh, oaks, and Spanish moss. If you're biking, know that not all trails allow bikes - not sure why.

It is a nice walking trail, but a little rough for strollers. I agree that the best time to go is low tide. We could not go on a portion of the path because of the tide.

This is a trail I walk regularly with my 5 year old son and dogs. It is very well maintained, the scenery is absolutely beautiful. There are many places to stop and rest comfortably if need be. I do suggest you bring some bug spray and a camera. :)
