Nice easy hike, pretty waterfalls, a bit crowded on a nice October day and hard to pass at points.

I appreciate the abundance of signs mapping the trail, but blazes would've been a lot nicer/easier than having to stop and check which one of the paths you want to go down. Also, some kind of marker for where waterfall overlooks are would be appreciated instead of just following the sound down different trails.

I'll be honest, part of me writing this review is because it was sitting at 666 reviews :p

Easy for family hikes

Lots of big leaf magnolias & a waterfall. One trail portion in this unit of the ‘hooch was closed, but not indicated on the local trail maps.

The NEW boardwalk extension will open by Halloween 2018, at the latest. This entire trail system provides the most stunning panorama views on the banks of the Chattahoochee. Trails are broad so bikers, skaters, runners and walkers do not interfere with each other. It can be used ALL year seasons EXCEPT when the heavy rainfalls flood part of the trails especially unter the Roswell Road bridge. This is the most excellent training area for everyone who challenges a half marathon or even marathon. Walking this trail NEVER gets boring, every day and weather provides a different views of the nature there. Home to grey and white herons, to wild geese and ducks, different kind of fishes. The City of Roswell did a truly great job for the people by building this unique trail system, much appreciated!

Bit crowded but it’s a good trail. We stared off from riverside st parking lot to achieve 3.8 miles trail. During returning we adapted a closed trail which we were not aware of and that trail was dam creepy but had fun and we were able to catch up the active trail. Plan to take extra pair of clothes if you want to get into the waterfall. Overall it’s a awesome trail.

Nice elevation changes; lightly traveled; wooded and protected from the sun

Crowded, full of trash, and constant traffic noise from Grimes Bridge Rd.

Went today with my friends, nice day to hike and good trial.

Seen a couple of instances of folks not having their dogs leashed.

I felt it quite easy and no elevation at all. For warming up and running into woods, I recommend this trail

Steep incline to start but otherwise a fairly easy trail.

Good little flat trail.
Take time and enjoy the surroundings: trees, birds. the river, people sculling.
They are extending it for about another 1.5 miles.
It will be even better.
People walking, running, biking, skating, fishing, dog walking, baby walking.
You have to pick the right time.
Busier on weekends.

Okay trail... You are basicly walking on a path right near the road. Easy for children, definitely not moderate. It is easy!!! I would do that trail if you are looking for something easy and basic.

Fun trail! Took the kids and our dog. Both enjoyed it. Easy walk throughout. Love that it is covered in shade! Perfect for our hot summer days. Well marked trail.

This is my favorite trail! The dog and I hike here 2-3 times a week

If you are in Roswell and have nothing better to do then this is a fine way to spend a morning. Don’t go out of your way.

This trail has a good mix of ups and downs. Great for exercise

Trail has 4 stars, App gets ZERO stars for the trail map and directions! BEWARE this is NOT intended to be a loop trail and as noted in the reviews the section along the creek is marked closed at the starting end but not on the trail. This is probably because it is not intended to be approached from that direction. However, the trail just keeps getting more narrow and a difficult traverse across rocky ledges that is simply not easy. In wet conditions it would be downright dangerous! Furthermore, the little blue maps on the trail do not show a loop, there is no trail between V 13 and V 3 but the app does show a loop in this location. See photos that I posted. All that said it is a beautiful spot and if you avoid the area I mentioned it actually is easy.

Trail was enjoyable. Not to busy with people but enough to feel safe. Trail had a pleasant view of the river at times and could be done by all ages.

I love this little trail! I often come at sunrise, and the view is stunning in the morning. great spots for yoga along the boardwalk too

Nice and Easy !

Pretty view of the falls. One of the more crowded hikes along the Chatahoochee

BEAUTIFUL, shady, well-maintained trail. Lots of wildlife that seem pretty used to humans. Pretty easy hike. I saw several older people hiking mid-week. Great for dogs on-leash. Yellow trail is a short loop, red trail is the longer loop. Benches available all along trail. Great for running or walking. Not many roots. Will definitely go back. Felt safe.

Moderate is definitely what I’d use to describe the hike. The views of the falls are definitely something to come for! Unfortunately, as some other reviewers mentioned, there is a bit of a littering problem at the base of the falls. Besides that, it was great exercise with some beautiful scenery! I’ll definitely be back and bring some less experienced friends with me so they can get into it and enjoy hiking like I do :)

This place isn't anything special. Its always crowded too.

We did this trail with a 6 year old and were very happy with the trail, location, falls, and nature. Great trail for an easy trek and beer manageable for youngsters.

It was mine and my sons first time hiking. He’s 8 and I’m 39 and 350 pounds. We enjoyed it and will do it again. We did miss a turn and ended up in a closed part of the trail and had to climb rocks. That part was hard but still an adventure!!

Very easy and scenic hike, great for all ages. Shaded trail makes for cool temps even in the late June weather. Free parking if you park near the Roswell Mills bridge, easy trail access, puts you at VC12. If you have younger children VC14 is a great area for the kiddies to play in the water, and VC16-17 is where the falls are and the best picture spots. When I went down to the base of the falls there was unfortunately a lot of trash, and even along that area of the trail it was littered with garbage.

I went early on a Thursday morning and did not encounter a single other hiker. Weekends are WAY busier, so I advise going as early as possible.

I love this place !

3 stars on the grand scheme, it’s a great trail, wooded, shaded, some nice views...but it’s short, has stinky outhouses at the half way area, near neighborhoods and residential areas so it loses a couple of cool points. If you’re looking for an easy stroll on a gravel path...this is it, but please get off your cell phone soccer mom and try to enjoy it!
