Such a beautiful trail. We went on a Wednesday, late afternoon with our 3 dogs. Ample parking for this day and time, but I could see it being an issue on weekends. $4 fee to park, which you place in an envelope and deposit into a box. Bring cash and a pen to fill out the envelope. Came across people about every 3-5 minutes. Lots of older couples and families with dogs. It’s downhill the way to the falls with views of smaller rapids and the sound of rushing water almost the whole way. It’s out and back on the same trail so be prepared to walk uphill heading back. It took us 3 hours total, but we really took our time and stopped for a picnic lunch. The trail is well worn and easy with the exception of maybe two spots where roots and rocks are bare. Watch for poison ivy as it grows really close to the trail edge. Well worth the time to see the convergence of falls at the bottom of the trail! Lots of craggy rock formations and trees, mossy grounds and shade along the way.

Pretty easy, mostly downhill on the way there, but not very steep on the way back. Parking is pretty crowded so get there early.

I did kind of a wonky version of this hike where I took Klondike to Mountain Top Loop and then doubled back to Klondike-to Mile Rock-to Forest Trail and ended up doing closer to 6 miles. But! Such a great hike, surprised by how pretty it was, especially with all the yellow wildflowers and granite outcroppings. Also got to hike past 2 lakes in the version I took. Would call this more easy than moderate. Definitely recommend!

Pleasantly surprised by this trail! Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was honestly stunning. Thousands of yellow wildflowers in the granite outcrop and a pretty view at the top. I would call this trail easy as opposed to moderate. And it’s well marked by cairns until the summit and then gets a little dicey. Lovely little hike.

Quite strenuous but well worth the effort and taking the steps to the bottom of the falls!

It’s a hard trail no doubt. We use it to get to the climbing area just below the top. It would be great if hikers did NOT throw rocks off the top. A small pebble can pick up tremendous speed and really hurt someone 140feet below. We had to dodge a few of them yesterday - sad...

I really like this trail. I was there last in the Spring and it was great. I give this review today on 9/22/20 to just let anyone planning on going to know that the wooded trail from the parking lot to the Boardwalk is overgrown and muddy. Also, there are some large trees down, probably from the wind and rain we got from Hurricane Sally. I had my dog with me. He is able to jump over tree logs. If stepping over tree logs is difficult for you, you may want to avoid this section of the loop.

loved the stuff on the trail, but the trail itself was kind of muddy and there were tons of mosquitos.
