Nice day hike with moderate incline. Beautiful 360 view from tower at the summit. Will do again soon.

So the actual hike wasn't difficult. The views from Preacher's Rock are pretty awesome. We went early to try and catch the sunrise... but what we actually caught was a nice walk in the clouds. The temperature was very pleasant and the added moisture from the clouds was nature's A/C. However the map from Alltrails was a bit misleading. The was our first trip so I relied solely on the app. It had us walking an extra mile thinking there was more to see... There was not. So unless you are planning on hiking to Blood Mountain don't go past Preacher's Rock.

Easy walk.

It is completely overgrown! Not knowing all the other trails were closed we decided to checkout Horseshoe bend only to find that the majority of the trail is thorns. When we were finished her clothes were completely destroyed and my legs were scratched raw. We had planned to hike Beech Bottom which is a shorts/leggings friendly trail but I wouldn't even hike this trail with my boots and thickest pants. You can't take more than a step before having to liberate yourself from a bush which makes for a physically and mentally exhausting hike.

Beautiful views! Nice challenging trail. First two miles is all incline. I started from Pigeon Hill Trail off of Burnt Hickory Road.

beautiful camp, check before you go. some of the trails are closed due to storm damage

great trail for a family with small kids

Definitely a favorite of mine. Very scenic! While the waterfall is beautiful it’s not the only thing to see.

I had fun exploring, because I got lost. Everything everyone said about the poorly marked trails is true! Doesn’t take away from the fact that it is beautiful once you get good on the trails.

Very nice hike when combined with Preachers rock.

Options for bilking/hiking and hiking only. Limited parking.

it's paved

Hiked yesterday September 22. The first marker was hard to spot. We ended up hiking the wrong creek for about a mile, before we back tracked, we did find the trail. Other than that the falls were beautiful. It would make a great weekend backpacking trip too

Trail was good even with all the blow downs from past storms. The trail crews hadn’t made it all the way down Jacks River Trail so if you’re not confident in your ability to spot a trail when it’s not clearly marked I’d suggest maybe avoiding this one alone. The river wasn’t high at most thigh deep in some spots and I’m only 5’9. Overall great overnight trip and will repeat in the future.

To me this was a good workout. Not standard ascend/ descend a peak. I’ve never done so much up and down, so it felt great when done. They do need someone to pick up all the trash. Worst trail head ever.

Hiked today, 1st and most important is this is a 6 mile hike not 5.2 Mostly flat, not too steep but the inclines are long, the worst part was the last bit heading from Helen to the Lodge. up,up and up. But one of the best hikes we have done in awhile took us an Hour and 10 mins to get from Lodge to Helen. And the wife was slow.

Loved this one! Took Freeman up and that part was my favorite! Down from the shelter has lots of traffic. Great hike!

Very nice trail. Went with 9 year old son and it was not problem but he was tired at the end of it. Nice along the Chattahoochee and along the lake. Good shade inland. Trails are easy to spot as long as you look for the white trail blaze markings on the trees.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a long time and can’t believe what a hidden gem this is! I was looking for a new place to walk my dog and this popped up when I did a google search. This was my first time here and since it was a Sunday afternoon the building was closed. I couldn’t get over how peaceful and beautiful this place was! Very well kept trails, beautiful water features around the building, great place to walk my dog and enjoy the scenery. I took a bunch of photos along the way. I can’t wait to go back!

Summit, 8am 9.23.18. Overall vegetation is still thick, mud and dry conditions on the trail from the AT > Cowrock > Wildcat > Shelter. Warm, 75-80. Blue skies and sunshine.

Easy 2 1/4 mile loop great for dogs. Some trees down

Take trekking poles for the slope right before the falls

The trail is not serviced past its first half and overgrown with vegetation. Could be nice for a family walk but not worth much in its current shape.

No dogs allowed!

great ride. enjoyed it.

This is a terrific trail, a steady climb all the way up, but you get too see a couple of cool waterfalls on the way. The view from Pinnacle Knob is well worth the effort. One tip..If you are going to park at Warwoman Dell parking area, the trailhead is not obvious. It is on the right as you drive in, past the first small parking area on the left, ignore all the signs on the left. We and another group of hikers spent some time milling around trying to figure out the misleading signs on the left....

Trail is in great condition! Beautiful overlook, and as other reviews have said, lots of hills coming back! Marked well.

Beautiful place. The hike was very a moderate incline but still very manageable for my grandkids ages 7 and 12. Will definitely return.
