Nice trail and fairly scenic along the Hooch. Mulberry Creek is the final destination and is nice place for kids or the four-legged children among us.

Great trail, but it does run parallel to a busy road at one point so you don’t get a complete separation from man-made noise.

This is my "go-to" trail during the weekday. Very accessible if you live in the Kennesaw vicinity without having to travel too far to the mountain bike trails. The trail is decent fun plus enough elevations for a workout. No dirt paths. Pretty much paved trail.
The big negative of this trail is the how it crosses busy roads. You must be super attentive, careful and safe. I've biked this trail several times and know all the tricky intersections but I don't feel comfortable riding with my kid on the full length of the trail cos of the busy traffic points. Lots of hikers and joggers but there is plenty of space for everyone.

Out of 4 to 5 trails I've biked on, this is probably the shortest in distance. However, I'd consider this trail more "workout" than fun (...nothing wrong with that). Lots of steep elevations and narrow paths. Not as many bikers on the trail as anticipated but way more hikers. The hikers were mindful and respectful of the biker's traffic. Not a whole lot to see on the 2 mile bike loop but as mentioned, you will get a good workout. I went on a Saturday and curious if I will feel the same on a Sunday biking in the opposite direction.
I am definitely adding this trail to my favorites.

Several cars have been broken into at this trail. We found out because our vehicle was stolen and 4 other cars were broken into at the same time. The police and rangers said burglaries at the Kennesaw mountain trails are common. But yet they don’t have any officers patrolling the parking lots.

Great little trail! Good elevation changes, river views, and trails well maintained.

Great trail, historical markers, and spots for photos. A short easy hike but fun with family

Nice network of trails with varying grades and windy-ness. Love running around and taking a dip in the creek with the cool, old ruins there. We saw a fantasy costume photoshoot taking place in the natural river scenery, and a group taking their yoga walk. People have fun mountain biking— look out for them. The pond is a lovely setting for gazing, with a dock for lounging or other friendly activities.

While hiking here, someone busted out my car window. Upon discussing with friends, it turns out another friend had a window busted out here a couple of weeks ago, and another had her car keyed. Will not be back. Seems to be a hotspot for criminal activity.

I like to do this one every other week. For me it’s not very difficult, but, for a first time hiker, I can imagine that it would be a little more difficult. Very nice beautiful views, and, not usually too busy during the week. Not terribly far from Atlanta, and is worth the drive. Weekends, it’s always crowded, but, don’t let that deter you, this is definitely one worth going to.

My calves were killing me going up

This trail was well marked. We hiked the full loop. Very hilly, rooty, and overall a great workout! Loved it, I will be back

good trail

This is my go to place to hike and I love it have been coming here for years there’s different options you can take which range from easier to more difficult. If I had to complain about anything it would be from people leaving trash on the trails why can’t people just pick up after themselves. The visitor center is also worth a look at some good history there.

Going the whole trail, sometimes the path is difficult to see. Going all the way, get ready to climb around a large fallen tree (or climb thru the large hole that the tree left).
It is nice and cool, especially by the water with wind blowing. STOP, take time to admire the forest.

Great hike. Not very long, but it's steep enough to give you a real workout. Amazing views from the top. Popular but not overcrowded. Nicely shaded on a hot afternoon.

Love this trail. Nicely shaded and peaceful. Not too many inclines, and most are gentle. Well marked with a lot to see. Not too crowded either.

Not the prettiest or most strenuous path in the area. That said, this is an easy path for joggers, people with strollers, and do walkers. A good deal of the path is on major roads with several busy intersections to cross. I walked this Memorial Day morning in the rain, so it was deserted. On nicer days and non-holidays, I imagine the proximity to busy roads would make this less than ideal.

I love this trail. scramble across the huge rocks along the side of the creek.. I never finished the loop. would just go to the end of creek where it turns into private property then turn around. I'm not sure if I was using the actual trail at points. it may go up further on the hill at spots but I just stayed next to the water and climbed across the rocks. the ruins at the start of the trail are really cool as well. there are ruins that follow the creek too! civil war era hydroelectric paper mill from what I remember .. it's a 5star for the nearby area... obviously doesn't compare to some North Georgia trails lol

Not a hard hike. Good view of town from the top and the vantage point. A lot of history here. I'd say it's easy to moderate.

2nd time I've been, and this time I learned that Sope Creek Trail connects to Cochran Shoals Trail, and when they switch over there are separate maps on the trail. Both maps look very similar so you need to make sure you know which one you are on.
We walked an extra 3 miles going to the wrong parking lot.
I was still a great hike, but it's a good thing we weren't in a rush to get out.

One of my favorite trails in the Atlanta area. On the easier side of moderate, but a great workout nonetheless. Wide paths, nicely shaded, and dog friendly.

Not the most strenuous trail if you stick to the set route. Going off-path is a better workout. Quit trail with wildlife and a nice view of the river.

Great workout. The trail is well-maintained. However, there is a great deal of uneven terrain and quite a few obstacles (lots of roots, downed trees, etc.). Beautiful views of Bull Sluice Lake and the surrounding area. Even on a Sunday afternoon it wasn't very crowded.

Great loop trail. Well-marked throughout with lots of little areas that take you the water edge. Path gets incredibly narrow along water. Lots of wildlife. Be mindful of your steps - very “root-y” through almost entire trail.

This is an easy, well shaded trail with decent signage and lots of options to explore. The mill ruins by the creek are definitely worth seeing! Very pretty for an in-town hike, but there’s a good bit of noise from nearby roads. On the plus side, it was not as crowded as expected for a beautiful Friday in the springtime.

Great hike with scenic views of both the river and wildlife. Numerous turtles and geese fill the area with life.
