Great hike with views. However, my GPS showed the hike closer to 6.5 miles and not 5.6.

But...you need to turn around at point where you head down to loop back around. At the bottom of steep rocky hillside is a down tree blocking path. Plus the wood post that should have sign is missing its sign (first clue that this path is non functioning). But the trail of rocks is beautiful, magical, and makes you feel childlike.

Beautiful views! Nice challenging trail. First two miles is all incline. I started from Pigeon Hill Trail off of Burnt Hickory Road.

Relatively short and easy to moderate hike that offers good views of Atlanta at the top. The trail itself is well marked and clean. It is steep at times and has a few switchbacks, but nothing too crazy. The observation deck at the top is nice, but there are so many trees that views of Buckhead and Atlanta are somewhat obstructed.

Parking can be a challenge on weekends--either circle through the lot and wait for someone to leave or park about half a mile away at the overflow lot.

Fantastic trail for in town. Best time to hike is during the week to avoid the throngs of people on the weekend. Challenging sections exist.

Humbling. Beautiful. Peaceful.

I modified this one a little, came down Pigeon hill and Brumby camp instead of the mountain road. Kennesaw Mountain Trail section is nice! Walking/running paths are boring but not a bad workout!

I come here every week for speedwork - it's nice to do speed with slight elevation changes. I wouldn't call it a "trail" because it's paved, usually very busy, and not wooded on either side. The dog parks are great, there's a nice area for kids to play, and it's an even mile loop. Great for an easy run or like I said, speed work.

Difficult but not long. Rocky and some steps. You can take the park road back down or the trail.

Great loop for hiking and running!

great hike with some good views

Great family trail,a bit steep at times but overall very manageable, our 8 year old loved it ! Our 12 year old not so much but made it to the top! We are coming back!

it was a uphill battle

Great views. Trail groomed but somewhat difficult and made for a good workout. Loved the history including the battlefield cannons!

Nice trail with 10 and 12 year olds.

Great day hike, challenging climb with great views at the top! Kids loved it!

Nice, easy walk. Mostly shaded but there another of locations with numerous rocks so watch your step.

I hike this trail every day after work. It’s a great workout and is well traveled.

First mile is the hardest and then it gets easier as you go. Bring plenty of water if going in the summer.

Best trail at Kennesaw Mtn!! Lots of gain in altitude over the 1.8 miles from the parking lot on Burnt Hickory to the top of Kennesaw Mtn. My family and I love the trail due to the natural terrain, which means there are parts not well marked so you need to pay attention.

Great trail for a scenic, but not necessarily strenuous, hike. Very peaceful with lots of wildlife.

W job h

Nice 11 mile hike in the metro ATL area. Mostly shaded. The ascent of Kennesaw Mtn. is an easier approach from the visitors center, as the trail is wider and mostly improved, but also more heavily trafficked. East trail is mostly rolling hills and relatively easy.

The traffic noise is a little annoying sometimes but the trail itself is great! I run it frequently!

Variety of fun on this trail! My only complaints are: 1) the amount of traffic in beginning (starting from Visitor Center side); and 2) it was slightly confusing as to which way the trail led at the top of the mountain. We found out way with the help of another hiker. Other than that, this trail was packed with elevation climbs, beautiful views of the distant city, and awesome rock formations. As a hiking rookie, I would call this is a moderate/difficult hike. However, we brought our dog and he led the way the whole time! Will definitely visit this trail again.

Great hike, quite scenic but also quite busy on the trail around the visitor’s center. A little bit of confusion at the top so maybe a few more trail markers but I would definitely recommend.

As far as non-secluded parks go this is a very nice one. Not much nature, but safe, flat path for people of all fitness levels to enjoy and so many great features and activity options for gathering (pavilions, skateboarding, kids’ play area, expansive dog park area)

Good trail to hike with inclines that are challenging though not too long. Many rocks make foot placement awareness a must! Hike on!!!
