enjoyable hike to the falls. the trail to the top is a workout.

awesome trail with great views. not to strenuous until the last climb to the waterfall. worth the climb.

Easy trail along Scenic Smith Creek, but costs $3 per person and is usually busy: hardly “lightly trafficked,” as indicated. Still, we saw a small bear across the creek. Nice.

This is a stroll not a hike :-) The falls are worth visiting.

Nice, peaceful trail. Saw a small bear by the parking lot.

Arrived at the trailhead by 8:15 on a Friday morning. I came after several days of heavy rain and definitely had to navigate some muddy spots. But it was well worth it. The river was roaring and the falls were awesome. I didn’t come across anybody until on my way back out. Finished and back to the car by 10:15. I thought this a relatively easy hike until the end where you do see more elevation gain. For anybody hesitant to go on this trail you do come across several falls early on and could definitely turn around sooner and would still be satisfied. Followed it up with a trip to Dukes Creek Falls and then some wine tasting in Helen. Lovely North GA day trip.

Early morning hike on the Monday after father's day. No other hikers the entire out and back. One of the overlooks is closed since a tree fell on it, doing significant damage. The other overlook is open and several spots where you can get down to the water.

Nice hike but more crowded than I would like on a weekend. Mid June and the rhodedendrons were just starting to bloom at the start of the trail. Almost no blooms yet higher up. The mushroom and fungus diversity was spectacular.

Great trail if you are getting back into mountain biking or a beginner. Could be maintained little better, very few people on trail. Definitely worth the ride!

Easy out and back through and amazingly beautiful valley. Despite the damage to the upper observation deck by a fallen tree, the view of the two falls at the end was well worth it. The trail was well maintained and in excellent condition. The grade was surprisingly easy. We’d go again.

Let me start with this- I’m from FLAT, south Florida. I kicked my own butt on this trail. I was out about 2-3 miles and quit! Loll. It’s tough. It was rainy and wet, which didn’t help with traction, especially on the very steep parts. I will say that it was absolutely beautiful though.

Easy simple and beautiful

Pretty trail, even though it’s really easy and paved. Worth doing, although more of a troll than a hike

The falls are very nice. Lots of people

Fantastic trail for all ages! Beautiful double waterfalls!

We completed this trail 7/23/18. Trail was cool and shaded all the way through. Incline was gradual for the most part until the end when it gets pretty steep. I thought the terrain was quite challenging for a moderate trail. You definitely need to watch your step in some places especially when wet and muddy. There are some great overnight camping areas along the stream. Hiking time for our group was 90 mins in and 90 mins out. We spent about 30 mins hanging around the waterfall at the end enjoying the nice cool water. So 3.5 hours total. Our group consisted of me and my wife, late 40s and our 15-year old daughter and friends ages 15-17. The teens really enjoyed the trail. Good fun overall.

These falls are stunning and the walk up there is beautiful as well. We took my 80 year old mother to see them. She uses a walker and on the very steep bits (which there are several) she had to sit and be pushed. Coming down this way was a tad harrowing. While it is wheelchair accessible, it is very steep in places, so whoever is pushing needs to be prepared for a good work out going up and down. But is was worth the effort, especially to see the look of joy and wonder on my mom's face.

Easy to moderate hike! Loved all the waterfalls. Trail was muddy in certain spots which can cause some slippage. Whole trail was 5 miles. Very cool places to stay overnight. Heavy traffic on this trail. We loved it!

Perfectly shaded and cool, even in the hot summer months. The terrain changes quite a bit, so wear appropriately-treaded shoes, not flippy floppys.

Easy, simple, and absolutely lovely

Excellent hike along the river. You pass several swimming holes. Great for families!

Get there early to avoid crowds

Great hike with waterfalls along the way. The main waterfall is near the end. The whole hike is worth it if you climb the cliff and see what’s behind the waterfall inside of the cliff. There are additional waterfalls that you can see from the top of the rocks- it’s a very difficult climb but worth it. Also- climb down to the waterfalls along the trail. You’ll get soaked, but they’re worth it.

Great hike for newbies like myself. I would consider it easy to moderate due to the gradual incline but rough terrain. The trail follows a stream the entire way which allows for beautiful views of several small cascading falls and areas to cool off. The view of the cliffs are amazing especially for someone like myself from Florida.

Okay hike. Through the woods, along a little stream, but nothing special. Falls not that easy to see because they're in a crevice.

Very pretty, short, paved, hike along a stream to a smallish waterfall. Very very pretty. It takes a lot for me to give 4 stars to a hike this short and paved, but it's beautiful, and sometimes you want to take grandma in her wheelchair or the baby in a stroller, so this is just perfect for that.

Great place with 13 year old. Moderately a challenge without killing yourself. Hiked to the cliffs where there is a waterfall and pool to cool off. Husband hiked partially up to the summit. Approximately 3 hours round trip. People wearing tennis shoes, sandals, but hiking boots preferred due to many roots and some rocks.

Awesome hike! We got stuck in a thunderstorm 3/4 of the way up but pushed on & it was absolutely worth getting soaked and coming down in mud that was about a foot deep! My 10 year old loved it

very quick hike, but the waterfalls are really cool!
