We love it!❤️

Great Place nice view Great Rangers volunteers are very helpful

Great hike! First portion was paved, but rest was well traveled dirt path. Tired the kids out, but great views of Allatoona!

Did something crazy and hiked every trail at Red Top one Sunday. This review will cover the entire experience. Well marked, nicely maintained, and surprisingly quiet considering how popular it is. The views were gorgeous and there is enough of a variety in the trails to really give you a workout. Great place to train for more strenuous hikes and events.

Nice Hiking. Not too difficult, but on the right day.... It's a nice way to spend a few hours

This is a nice trail if you want a fair amount of distance (I clocked in @ 6.77 miles) without too many strenuous hills. Like others have said, should be rated easy with only a few moderate spots.

Super afternoon day hike with my dog..
Trail are well marked, well maintained and the lake is beautiful in early spring.

First time here and I’d say this is overall a moderate to easy trail. It’s very dog and kid friendly. There are multiple path options and trails are clear and well marked. There were bathrooms available at the start and at about the 4 mile mark at the visitors center (assuming you follow this map). The one thing worth noting is that there was no “wow” view, no massive visual award for trekking here. The lake had receded greatly when we visited. No complaints though. Enjoy!

Loved this hike! Went after the hurricane, some damage but, clean up was happening. Very few other hikers out. Was nice to sit on a log for a snack and watch the deer go by.

This was a really great Trail to hike. Lots of beautiful views and challenging pathways. Will definitely go back.

Fun loop, a few ups and downs, somewhat more challenging if you take the red trail (Sweetgum) out and the yellow (Homestead) back. Most of the lake views are seasonal, for a short while you'll be at lake level near the rope swing and the bench. I usually park at the Visitors Center, it's the trail head for both trails.
