HikingGreat!

Followed the Bartram from parking lot to camp sites (about two miles in.) Had a nice camp, saw other hikers and car campers. Was able to start early on a Saturday to hike 2.5 to pinnacle and back. Glad we started early, got busy later in the day. Climb is long and tough but grade makes it easier. Great view at the top

HikingGreat!

It was no mark on which way to get to Pinnacle Knob. We started on the yellow trail but we went the wrong way. 4.5 miles in we discover, that we must be going the wrong way. The trail was very challenging and it had great views. We are going back to take the trail to Pinnacle Knob.

Starting at Highway 76 and going north, it is a moderate to difficult hike. Definitely will make you sweat while you take in the views and fresh air.

Nice and well maintained gravel/dirt roads. Lots of good campsites. Would do it again.

overall good hike. I recorded my hike and about the 2 mile mark there is a big camp site, the yellow trail markers lead you around it and take you to a waterfall. The All Trails App, said we were off trail, which wasn't right. That confused us for a minute but kept going and ended back on trail. Great views.

Lovely trail. A really nice hike that’s got a lot. Pretty waterfalls and a really nice view at the top. There’s some confusion getting on the Bartram Trail. The sign on the side of the road is pretty inconspicuous. There’s a yellow blaze right next to the parking lot that will lead you across the road onto the trail. About two miles from there the trail actually splits. On the right two little trails make a loop to a waterfall. If you want to skip those keep going straight. The area is open and for camping, as the incline increases you’ll see a yellow blaze ahead. A little confusing but manageable. Great hike.

HikingGreat!

Great fall weather. Tho according to my AllTrails and Apple Watch recording, this section is 9.2 miles +-. So prepare for an extra half mile or so. There is water at Dicks Creek Gap, 1.5 and 4.0 miles North from Dicks. And good water at Bly Gap. Not too hard. I round tripped it over 2 days. Lot of leaves covering trails of course, so roots and rocks were covered so tread carefully. Mix clear, rocky, typical trail. Coming South from Bly was faster as more downhill. Good workout to Bly from Dicks Creek but not a particularly hard or technical section. Finished AT Georgia with this!

CampingBridge outMuddy

My husband and I hiked this yesterday and spent the night in the summit. Had it all to ourselves!! Watched the sunset and the sunrise!! Pretty views. A leg workout for sure but totally doable. A little cold overnight with temps in the low 40s and 10-20 mph winds but as long as your prepared you ll be fine!! A must do!! The waterfalls were spectacular!

This was a great trail. Definitely tough at some parts but the view at the top was well worth it! Along the trail you’ll pass some great waterfalls! The trail is narrow and there are some parts you’ll have to cross over rocks and mud but that’s all in the fun!! :)

Beautiful trail and beautiful falls! Most of the fallen trees were cleared except for the big one blocking Ammons. The bridge and landing there are definitely damaged and need serious repairs. Be careful if going all the way out.

HikingGreat!

Beautiful day for a hike with clear skies and starting temperatures of 43 ℉, 46 ℉ and breezy on Pinnacle Knob and 65 ℉ on return to Warwoman Dell. Except for a few deadfall trees along the initial trail leading to Becky Branch Falls, the trail conditions were excellent. We passed four Forest Service workers cutting out deadfall and cutting back encroaching vegetation. They advised the FS would be removing the damaged bridge below Becky Branch Falls and not replacing it. They indicated they would also block the short approach trail to Beck Branch Falls from Warwoman Road in favor of the existing parallel trail that joins the Bartram trail just past those falls. There were very few rocks, roots and wet areas on the trail. There were also not many steep inclines, even on the way up to Pinnacle Knob. Nice views from Pinnacle Knob and lots of water flowing in the several creeks along the trail. I would consider this hike easy to moderate in difficulty.
