This is definitely not a road that requires four wheel drive. If you're an ultra runner, it's a great road for you to concentrate on climbing without the technical stuff.

This was the first trail I’ve tried, I guess was expecting more from a “moderate” trail. I kept my 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro in 2WD the whole time and had an easy time. The road is mostly rocky gravel and the trail featured pull off spots for the best views of the mountainside. I don’t think I want to do another trail as long as this one.

We were initially planning to go off road in Prentice Cooper, but it was closed for a hunt. Found Lake Conasauga in this app and figured to give it a try. The gravel road goes all the way to the lake, we did see a couple cars, but mostly trucks and SUVs. The swimming area and facilities are currently closed due to a water issue, but the trails are open and the lake is beautiful!! You won’t need 4x4, but the road can be a bit rocky.

very nice ride. Keep it in 2 wheel drive the hole time. Had a nice lunch at the overlook, great day.

Nice drive for the family sedan. Not a 4x4 trail but dirt road with nice views. Sought a moderate 4 wheeling trail and never took it out of two wheel drive. However for a family picnic it is nice. Just leave the rig at home.

There are two lakes in the area, the other lake is Murray lake. It will take a 4 wheel drive jeep or truck to get there but well worth the ride. You will come to a cross road sign with a great overlook view to the mountains, one way leading to lake Conasauga and the other way to Murray Lake. Great fun, great ride!

Great drive and some nice jeep trails hidden all around. Also a great place to see bears while taking a great jeep ride.

You really can’t call his a trail. After the first few miles the brush gets so thick you’ll have a hard time making sure you’re on the right path. This continues through the rest of the hike, a very frustrating experience. There are much better trails nearby that are actually at least somewhat maintained.

The trail was a bit overgrown in areas and poorly marked past the first several initial trail markers. This trail can cause some confusion in regards to navigation. There were also some ground nesting bees on the trail that came out after the horses. Nice trail besides those few issues.
