Very nice place to hiking

Liked the hike, but could have been marked better along the way how far away you’re from the parking lot, etc.

I hiked this one starting from Coopers Furnace via the connector trail. It’s longer then the west loop but isn’t as scenic IMO, it lacks the rock features you’ll see on the other side. Not a bad hike though.

Enjoyed the hike. Coming back just know if you use the blue trail as a short cut it is steep. Great workout! Also it ended up being 6.24 miles.

Beautiful hike, I agree with the moderate rating. Easy trail head access from I-75, free parking with lots of spots. The trail is very clean and clearly marked. I hiked the west loop on an early Sunday morning, great view of the sunrise on the summit and lots of space up at the top. Try going early because it gets VERY busy around 10-11AM.

A good alternative to Kennesaw Mtn, which gets crowded at times. I like the more strenuous trails and this one provides a good workout. Nice view from top. East loop can also be used for MTB, but you better be in good shape.

great easy trail...you can take a stroller on the trail great for kids. this trail can get pretty busy in the spring and summer months.

Great trail! Red Top always has well marked trails. I've done this one many times with my pup.

Excellent trail. Completed both the east and west loops, as well as all side trails. This made it an enjoyable 8.5 miles in all. Nice mix of elevation changes that provided a real workout. Well-marked and maintained. Highly recommend.

Great trail, well marked and easy to add distance for a more challenging hike. Pay attention (or snap a pic) of the trailhead map to help plan your course. Moderate fits the trail well, with its rising and falling inclination and weaving course.

Nice, short, family-friendly hike. Easy parking and lots of people. We hammocked near the summit and enjoyed a lazy afternoon.

This is a great loop trail. It's a fairly easy well maintained path. Nice views of the lake as you weave in and out of the beautiful hardwoods.

Again, a excellent hike. Didn't see anyone out and back. Was neat seeing a nice sized boat backed into one of the inlets off the lake.

I did both loops today and that pushes it past moderate.

Did something crazy and hiked every trail at Red Top one Sunday. This review will cover the entire experience. Well marked, nicely maintained, and surprisingly quiet considering how popular it is. The views were gorgeous and there is enough of a variety in the trails to really give you a workout. Great place to train for more strenuous hikes and events.

Nice trail. It is longer than 5.3 miles closer to six on the yellow out and back. Challenging with a 28 pound pack. Enough elevation change to be used for training in my opinion. Lightly traveled and well marked. Some storm damage.
Added a picture of the map with mileage.

Nice trail for a dog

Walk along the creek on the east loop nice and peaceful

well kept and marked! I liked that there are spots on the trail that are on the water so my pup can cool off!

These are really good trails with lots to see. We did both loops combined with Coopers Furnace trail, it ended up being a 7.3 miles all together.

beginning is a little challenging...pretty walk on flatter loop

Definitely a workout! Took the blue to the red to the yellow and then back on the yellow to the blue. The trail is longer than 5 miles. Traveled with a couple other ladies and it took longer than expected due to it being up and down. Came across two snakes so watch out. One was black and the other was a mystery.

One of my favorite trails! Well maintained and full of beautiful views of the lake. There's a side trail towards the northeastern corner of the trail that leads down to a solitary bench right at the shore of the lake. Love to stop there, eat a snack, and enjoy the view of the lake!
