Great somewhat easy to moderate trail with a nice incline. Be safe during wet weather as rocks are slippery.

Good hike, if you start the west loop going to the left it’s a steeper climb , the right side its an gradual elevation. Regardless good either side.

More of a Hard rated trail during the first mile compared to other moderate trails within 20 mile radius. Sharp Rocky and sometimes narrow path. Not good for training with any back weight; could twist an ankle if not cautious. Good leg workout on dicey terrain. Not good during wet days due to rocks.
Good workout, but I don’t feel it’s worth it.

This hike is a great one to test your foot placement :) Lots of roots and rocks and technical aspects. Great serious uphills (and downhills, since it is a loop). This is one of the more strenuous hikes I have done. Trekking poles are a big help for stability. No long-range views, just some nice scenery within the trail itself. Great photo stops (babbling brook, fern gardens, etc). Trail is very well marked with blazes.

This is a good trail to get a little exercise on if your in the area or if you live close by, but I wouldn't go out of my way to hike here.

This is always a good one. Try going during the week, it gets busy on the weekends.

We love this loop. Beautiful area year round. Great for running as well.

Great training Mountain, especially starting at the opposite side of the trail and heading straight up. Blazes are easy to follow. it is a pretty hike, but no views from the top.

I was disappointed to learn that in this “river walk” you don’t actually walk along the river. I know the river is there but there is no view of the river. It was a good flat trail with well cared for trees, which is nice, but not what the name implied.

Nice trail, beautiful summit. Be careful of snakes, I stepped on a garter snake.

We are beginners and had a rough hike up... it’s pretty steep in some places, but once we got to the top it was definitely worth it... great view, a nice place to chill and catch your breath and take some pics... the hike down is quick and easy and we sometimes caught ourself in a little run because of the steepness of it... but it was a really good time, this weather was amazing, go now!

Nice workout

Very pretty and enjoyable hike.

nice easy grade, great views of the lake. great testing spot on the boulders at the half-way mark before heading back.

It was a nice trail, A little strenuous in places, but not too bad. At the beginning there was a lot of trash, but further in it the trail was pretty and tranquil. We were the only one's there.

Just an fyi...there are a couple of big trees that came down right where the yellow and red trails meet. Someone with some saws or something need to cut a new path. Couldnt get to the red trail.

Liked the hike, but could have been marked better along the way how far away you’re from the parking lot, etc.

I hiked this one starting from Coopers Furnace via the connector trail. It’s longer then the west loop but isn’t as scenic IMO, it lacks the rock features you’ll see on the other side. Not a bad hike though.

Enjoyed the hike. Coming back just know if you use the blue trail as a short cut it is steep. Great workout! Also it ended up being 6.24 miles.

Beautiful hike, I agree with the moderate rating. Easy trail head access from I-75, free parking with lots of spots. The trail is very clean and clearly marked. I hiked the west loop on an early Sunday morning, great view of the sunrise on the summit and lots of space up at the top. Try going early because it gets VERY busy around 10-11AM.

A good alternative to Kennesaw Mtn, which gets crowded at times. I like the more strenuous trails and this one provides a good workout. Nice view from top. East loop can also be used for MTB, but you better be in good shape.
