A well cared for trail overall, however a couple of the bridges could use repair. Just a couple of boards had been broken on the edges and one bridge leaning. We ventured off the main white trail to the teal trail and found a few ares where trees had dropped and made it difficult to find our way around the mess. Overall a good day with great weather in November.

Easy trail. Well marked. Pretty heavy wooded.

To start the trail From the parking lot enter to the RIGHT of gravel road & open fields immediately (see pic of blue walking stick). Great for trail running... Highlights are the boy scout constructed wooden bridges (5-6 of them). Low point is 1/3 of trail taken out by pine beetle problem & woods wiped out with mile long logging road : ( . I don’t think you can do the entire 4.6 mile trail without good GPS smart phone...as their were two times we had to redirect ourselves (eSpecially at the end of the logging road). Hiking along the river is nice. Good distance for my wife and I - and for walking a dog.

Great run today! Really spooky incident first quarter mile of the green loop that I can't explain today.

Logging has all but destroyed this trail.

Sadly part of this trail is completely gone due to pine beetle infestation so big flat dirt road in the middle of the hike currently, but all trails kept us on the trail route until we got back to wooded area again

nice 2 miles goes close to the river. Make you're own trail to it but not much to see. I'll try the other trail's from that site. They look interesting.

Not really a hike more like a walking path from one parking lot to another. Nice bridge crossing a river but that’s about it. I wouldn’t do it again.

all pictures taken border the clear-cutting

This is a great afternoon hike. I've hiked it and used it as a trail running loop.

This was my first trail hike and I loved it. You spend a good amount of time walking along the Etowah river and it was very nice.

Not Dog friendly, but without dog it is a beautiful walk along the river.

This is a paved walking path that circles a baseball field and playground. Not much shade and no scenery. one of my least favorite of the walking paths in the are. definitely not a hiking trail.

Hiked this yesterday with my daughter. There’s a point in the trail where there are lots of trees that have been cut down. I decided to walk on top of them and find the trail again. Not a big deal, just know if you make it to that point, trust your gut and follow the map and go up and over and you’re good! Decent hike for close to home. Lots of cool bridges built by boy scouts.

Would rate as easy if not for distance. Cleaner than described. Nothing exciting but quiet. Good local spot. I would NOT drive any distance to hike this. Better options are Pine Mtn or Blankets Creek (South or Van Michael Loops).

I loved this trail! Beautiful scenery and varied areas to rest. I passed around 10 people on my route. I’ll definitely keep hiking this area.

What a beautiful day, the trails were well maintained!

It's a pretty nice trail. Blazes were well marked for the most part, but non-existent in some areas. Well maintained. Fairly easy for the most part with a few good moderate climbs. Enjoyable.

Quiet and beautiful trail! Trails are well maintained and all blowback has been pushed aside or cut through. We only saw 2 other people on the trail. A perfect pre-brunch hike with scenic views and enough incline to make you sweat! Happy St.Patricks Day! Now, off to a patio and beers!!

I took the opportunity to go and find the spot where I accidentally spent the night January last year.

Lots of past rain has water levels high. Two parts of the fast end of white trail under water. I skirted the first then detoured around the other. Then I came across the clear cutting. Couldn't identify where the trails ran any longer. Tried following with all trails open on my phone but had little luck. One spot they had actually dropped all off the cut trees across the trail on purpose. Came back to the starting point and wanted to get some more miles in so went back toward the high school where the first bridge I came to was flooded and decided to come back to the church parking lot. Don't get me wrong I love this trail I'm just talking about the current conditions.
