Trekked East from the Appalachian Highway 76 in Cherry Log on section seven. Very easy walk starting out with gravel roads. Talked to some nice folks while hiking!

It’s a great exercise trail and perfect for biking.

We didn’t complete this trail- we made it about halfway with our kids. Still great and would love to come back and hike the entire thing. Kids were worn out about a mile in. Steady incline.

Easy trail that my dog loved. Camped right down the road too at a huge campsite alone!

Nice trail, well maintained. Either way you loop is nice. A trail for a stroll, not very difficult.

Great time of year to see the forest. We took the loop to the right at the fork and would recommend it this way. There is a nice lunch spot when you cross Flatt creek.

Long drive for a short hike. HOWEVER- this is a beautiful area, offers a nice short hike for kiddos and camping along the way.

This is the perfect time of year to enjoy this hike. You can see through the forest of naked trees and soak in the true contour of the mountain ravines, ridges and rises. We took the lollipop loop to the right and would recommend that direction. There are quite a few creek and stream crossings that make lovely spots for lunch or just to sit, reflect and inhale. After the hike we kept driving down towards the Toccoa River and enjoyed a refreshing brew and apps at Toccoa Riverside. A day well lived.

7 days of hard hiking, but totally Awesome. We backpacked to Albert Mountain

Great with kids!

A nice morning hike for the first day of spring!!! A couple other hikers are out this morning as well. Squirrels and chipmunks are all along the trail. In and out by noon. Great trail for a quick day hike!!

Nice trail. Well marked. Beautiful stream that meanders along portions of the trail.

Nice hike for a group outing, but it was a long muddy drive for a pretty short hike.

Lovely day hike with an amazing waterfall at the end as a reward❣️

Dog friendly hike as long as you arrive early in the morning. Anything after 11 AM you’re going to start running into other folks arriving on the trail. I recommend going counterclockwise -that way you end up with water at the end of the trail. This only matters if you have dogs and wish them to have the ability to to cool down.
There is enough of an incline so that you’ll feel like you got a work out. 3rd or 4th time I have hiked and generally has quite a bit of solitude.

This is a great short little hike for a family with small children. It is nice to hike up the creek through a beautiful forest. Spring would be the best time to hike when there is plenty of water cascading over the waterfall. The coming from the north is not too bad, however the road coming from the south via Bull Mountain Parking lot needs to be done with four wheel drive vehicles only.

Beautiful trail along the river, culminating at a wonder falls. Not many obstacles to maneuver. Nice hike!

Had a blast, nice open trail, few stream crossings and an old free standing chimney! Not far from home and easily accessible!

The weather finally cleared today so it was time to hit the trail. Couldn’t ask for a better day!! There were several hikers out and about today but not what you would call crowded. I met two 2017 AT thru-hikers on the way in. Since all the rain has been plentiful over the past forever it seems, the falls were really pretty today!!
After I left the falls, I continued on up the AT for about a quarter mile to an old road bed and then back out to Three Forks! Great hike. Can’t wait to be out there more now that spring is just around the corner!!! Happy hiking everyone!!!

Tough yes but, totally worth it for the views and the breathtaking scenery.

Nice trail. I went during the rain this weekend and covered 2 loops. I ran clockwise and counter clockwise. The trail did not disappoint. I sprained my ankle a bit on a rock but was able to finish the run. I was able to kind of ice it in the flat creek creek by the bridge. I will be out of commission for a few days but I should be fine. The trail was very runnable even in the rain. Expect a lot of standing water if you do it in the rain.

This is a great walk. Decent views in the winter that would not be visible with leaves on the trees. Had a great time!

Hiked this section of the AT at the beginning of last April. Due to my line of work, I am unable to take off an extended amount of time to allow me to thru-hike.. so I’m forced to section hike it. They claim that this is the toughest part of the Appalachian Trail. I’m not so sure about all of that, but it is rather tough in certain spots. A lot of elevation gain/loss in a short distance, but the rewards (views) are so worth it. 10/10.. after I have completed the whole trail, I’d love to do Georgia again. I like to day-hike portions of it. Preachers Rock and Blood Mountain to Neels Gap are awesome day hikes.

Great trail for a nice winter hike.

Nice little loop in the Aska area. Be sure to keep your eyes open for the old chimney and wall just off the trail. Fun to explore!

The road will wreck your car! Almost made it there, then with 2.2ish miles to go and the road was impassable. Really pissed off because the only option was to turn around and travel 12 miles back down the mountain. You will feel defeated if you try and make the journey in a car. I’m sure it’s a great hike if you can get there. Good luck!!!

Beautiful trail. However, I disagree with earlier suggestion that taking the right trail might be slightly easier. My husband and I both agreed that taking the counterclockwise (right) route resulted in a much steeper gradient at the end of the hike regardless, great hike and our pup loved it , too.

Great short easy trail with a great waterfall at the end. Great for groups of people, families and/or people with no hiking experience.

Be sure not to miss all the side trails on the way up, many more smaller falls and sights.
