The trail is a short enchanting hike with a beautiful 65 ft waterfall.

Great trail! Hike about a half mile before you have the option to go right or left. I went left and it was great. You can go either way since it’s a loop and you see the same stuff. The trail is marked with almost a neon green paint on the trees. It’s not like every other tree sometimes you can go a quarter mile or longer before you see a marking. But it is pretty obvious which way to go. I also had service the entire trail so i was able to open this app and check the trail and see where i was at with the GPS. Watch out for bikers- especially if you have a dog off-leash. I’d either keep it on leash or just make sure the dog knows to move out of the way. There’s a nice creek that is there for probably about half of the trail that is easy to get to.
The trail was wide for a decent amount of it, wide enough to hike 2x2. Some areas it’s skinner so it’s 1x1. But none of the trail was washed out or dangerous. I hiked with my dog and we had no issues. The uphills are pretty gradual nothing crazy steep. Pretty easy.

Great 2.3 mile loop for trail running. Lots of leaves on the ground so you have to be careful of twisting your ankle. Love the elevation changes that keep the loop interesting. A nice section in the middle of it is has very enjoyable rolling terrain.

Nice winter hike through the woods, but I (and two other parties I ran into) couldn't find the trail to the river. About 2.2 miles in, the trail turns into a subdivision road... no clear trail beyond it. After searching in vain, we turned back. Still a decent hike.

there are more trails at this location than the .07 mile loop, but finding trail maps for these areas is next to impossible, i will continue to search and will update when i find more information

Beautiful, easy hike to the falls. Great setting with easy, safe photo opportunities. This trail was active with many groups of hikers of all ages. We started our day with 3 Forks Trail Loop across the trail head and then ended with this hike to the falls. We are glad we made the extra effort to see the falls. Also appreciated that the loop we did first was quieter and less traveled. The two hikes together give the best of both worlds if you are fit enough to hike 7+miles in a day.

My wife and I decided to try this trail out since it looked like it went out to the lake. We made it 2 miles out before we turned back because the trail was getting really close to people’s property and we didn’t feel comfortable being so close. Other than that, we enjoyed the trail very much. Be prepared for the elevation!

My wife and I enjoyed this hike very much. There was a nice creek that you walk with for a little. Several people brought their dogs and there were a couple of people biking the trail as well.

Perfect time of year to hike this trail! Beautiful colors and scenery. Recommend stopping mid-way and taking the steep little trek to the smaller falls before the larger falls . . . both are amazing!

Beautiful scenery.

We were going to hike Flat Creek Loop, but we ran into some people that recommended Staley Gap for better views. It was a gorgeous fall day and the leaves were beautiful! We didn't do the whole hike- we did about 5 miles out and back. The hike was basically an gentle uphill climb until we reached a ridge at the top where the views were pretty looking out in both directions. We didn't meet anyone except a few bikers. Basically a walk in the woods - we usually prefer destinations, but the leaves were beautiful on November 3rd.

great trail! beautiful with the changing leaves. perfect length for a day hike.

Fun little hike, a decent challenge but not a lot to see.

What an amazing adventure! We had a small group. Amicalola to Unicoi Gap during Hurricane Micheal. Loved ever hard minute of it. Can’t wait to get back out.

Great for novice hikers like me and my husband. Dogs loved it!

Nice trail. Well marked. A little treacherous in spots. Just watch your step.

Great, easy hike along a creek with a Falls. Good spot to camp for a night on the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain.

Kids loved it and so did the dogs!!

One of my favorite trails to hike. Pretty easy and the waterfall is beautiful. The 5 mile dirt road to it is amazing as well. Love the view!

Nice easy trail for kids. Did this with 4 kids from 2 - 8. The falls are beautiful and there are great rocks to sit and climb on which made the kids happy.

This is a nice easy two mile round-trip walk, suitable even for small children. The falls at the end are serene and well worth the trip. There is plentiful camping at the trail head (where the AT crosses the forest road). I took this one as my warm-up for the day, carrying nothing but my coffee mug, before taking the Springer Mountain loop.

Beautiful waterfall! Tip: Some of the forest service dirt roads are for high clearance vehicles only. Check out their maps to choose the best access for you. Even some of the roads marked for passenger vehicles might not be suitable for sedans that are low to the ground - due to potholes. https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/conf/maps-pubs

The wife and I were on vacation in blue ridge, so we decided to find a waterfall close by. Long curvy roads but a nice a waterfall.

We love this trail.
