This was a great trail. I started counter-clockwise, which turned out to be a good decision, since I was able to cover pretty much all of the climbing in the first 1/3rd of the trail. Beyond that it was all downhill and then flat beside the river. The trail near the river was pretty muddy even 3-4 days after rain, don’t wear your good shoes if it has rained recently. Now, I took a few wrong turns and at places there was no option to take the turns the app map showed. I am a pretty solid navigator and had to triage my way around with google and the trail map info points. Take a picture before you start, otherwise follow from one checkpoint to the other. Don’t be fooled by the road much travelled, it may not be the one you want to be on! Also, if you do get lost, just keep walking and you’ll end up at the right intersection eventually. Good workout!

I liked this hike for a casual Friday morning, as it was decently quiet and serene. You can take the full hike or do a loop that’s shorter, so I liked the options for different lengths. The only negative was part of the path had overflow from the Chattahoochee covering up parts of the lower path, but I was able to easily choose another way to go to avoid the flooding.

Do not make a right turn after the end of the boardwalk. There are a lot of homeless people living in that area!

W Kim, Valentine’s Day 2018. Lunch at Canoe: view of river! Steep climb! Winter, but warm, in the 60’s

I like to bring a grocery bag to PACK OUT ALL THE BLUE DOG WASTE BAGS PEOPLE LEAVE EVERYWHERE. It's a great little area except for all the trash and dog shit.

Fun trail! It’s pretty wide and easy. Great for families. There is a good uphill section to get your heart rate up, but the part by the river is flat and wide. My dogs loved this trail. There is a lot of trash though... I should’ve taken a trash bag to pick up trash. Definitely will next time. LNT, people!

Was quite muddy but so much fun to run on through the woods. Trail had many paths that were confusing to follow once you got to the pavement. Lots of long gradual hills to run up and down.

Wish people wouldn’t leave dog bags behind... why...

This is a beautiful and simple trail for anyone. Good for young families.

W mark pierce and Kim, cold, blue skies!

This is a wonderful City Park located in the middle of Brookhaven Georgia. It was nice to run across this park after a 2 hour drive into the city and stretch my legs

This is an awesome little trail and Georgian Hills Park, located in Brookhaven Georgia.

I needed to stretch my legs after a 2 hour car ride and ran across this awesome city park in Brookhaven Ga. The park is named Georgian Hills Park. It is not a very long trail but it is a beautiful park.

Super short trail good for dog walking or a quick walk. You will have to lap it a few times to get a 1hr walk. There is a historic house and several large trees on site.

Parked at Whitewater Creek lot. First third beautiful along water. Second third uphill through forest, last third easy and mostly downhill. Some areas Trail was super muddy from recent rains but overall good trail conditions. Will likely hike again.

Not a fan of this trail. Wasn’t much to trail blaze with my kids. A bit boring. The East Palisades trail is much better.

Good for a day outside with kids. Hike is very easy and short.

Definitely pay attention to the trail signs and bring your owns gps. The hike is harder near the northwest portion of the trail-narrow trail and slanted due to the terrain. The southern portion is easier with good views.

Nice trail, not super easy with some minor up and down sections with a lot of tree roots.

Nice trail. Part goes through a parking lot but otherwise a good variety of hills and flat stretches and the views of the Chattahoochee are good but not spectacular.

Nice trail in the city but a lot of street noise and by buildings most of the time. Great to get out and enjoy some inner city hiking if you just wasn’t to stretch your legs.

Maybe it's just me, but it's pretty easy to get somewhat lost. I ended up appearing in a neighborhood next to someone's backyard...

Great hike yet so close to the city. However, beware that 98% of people with dogs DO NOT keep them on leashes, which is extremely frustrating for those of us following the rules. Leashes are for the safety of the dog. Wish others understood that.

I love walking this trail so close to my house and in the city. But I walked this trail on 1/1/19 and the last really bad rain washed the wooden boardwalk so bad that it was not walkable. Peachtree creek floods really bad with all the runoff in Atlanta. It’s sad that there is such a horrible watershed issue in this area of Atlanta. But this trail brings the emergency Atlanta faces with runoff literally home.

great walk with my son who is 5

This is a great trail for mountain biking. I'm not sure why alltrails classifies it as easy. it is a good challenging ride. there's a lot of incline, and roots and rocks to navigate around. I usually incorporate this and the flat trail down by the river and do two laps around the entire thing. it's a nice ride. very good workout.

Great hike with some good views that is also ITP! Also a good trail for dogs. Only complaint is that it can be very busy depending on when you go.
