As of 9/19 they are doing construction in the park and it takes away from the trails serenity.

Live this park. Path needs some work. Remove the in and outs. Beautiful weather today. Short walk for a micro pup. Clean and well kept. Minus the dead bird in the fountain.

Path is not bad to see downtown but would choose some better streets to walk down. Honestly the only good part is going through the park. Someone needs to redo this trail with a better path and make it more streamlined. All the in and outs are dumb.

Great in the AM before the humidity kicks in during summer. Very quiet, no cars heard. Lovely oasis in midtown.

I haven’t had a chance to do this yet, but being new to the area, I appreciate a route that will hit the highlights of my new city. I’m definitely adding this “hike” to the bucket list!

Average trail with pretty cascading (small) waterfall if you go left after you get to the painted picnic tables. If you’d like to hike I recommend turning right at the picnic tables and making the circle. Not any trash like mentioned in previous reviews. Completely shaded. Would have given a better review but I could hear traffic the whole time and the trail is short. Nice to have a quick getaway right in the middle of the Urban area

Piedmont park is a great park, but this path should be updated if it’s gonna be dog friendly. You can’t walk dogs up on the track which is a 1/3 of this path. Other than that great time.

love the park. its WAS so beautiful. But now way to many Electric vehicles when it comes to scooters, bikes and so on.

You can’t even do the trail map listed here because half the park is closed due to construction. Tried to walk around and possibly jump back on, but literally half the park and trails are cut off from public access.

Great trail. The Cochran Shoals Trail is much more elevation and it’s easy to backtrack. The trail is blazed. I went in trying to do 6 miles and came back to my starting point at 2.4 miles. Note:!’I get lost easily.

This is an ok inter city trail. Most of it is paved but the paved section does have some steep climbs and you will get a workout from it. I am more of a trail hiker so I appreciate the fact that there are a couple of off-pavement trails to check out along the route. I hadn't walked this trail in a long time so it was a nice revisit next to the river.

Would have to agree with reviewer Mike on discovering lots of trash and glass along the trails. Seems we arrived a wee bit earlier than when the actual locals living within the park had yet to clear the area. We almost turned around before we even started, due to some sketchy activity going on at the entrance also giving us some weird vibes. Even with this, we decided to give it a whirl. Once we started walking we discovered some neat things amongst the mess, a waterfall, spring house, artsy painted benches & tables & the best of all, 5 beautiful deer with felted antlers. With all the above we managed to get some decent walking in and enjoyed ourselves even though at times, we kept an eye over our shoulders. Best option for enjoying this place seemed to be taking a buddy or your dog. Most people that were out walking with their dogs or living there ;) seemed most at ease
