Great in the AM before the humidity kicks in during summer. Very quiet, no cars heard. Lovely oasis in midtown.

Great place for a scenic walk in the Metro Atlanta area.

Park at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. To the far left when facing the restrooms you will see the trail access. You can also access it to the right past the playground at the sandbox area. It's a short loop up the hill and back down, maybe 20 minutes. That's the loop part you see to the left of the map. The straight-down-by-the-reservoir part you see to the right on the map is ANYTHING but easy. It starts out fine (across the parking lot behind the Paddle Shack) but quickly goes up (and down) ridiculously steep inclines. On one of the descents someone even tied a rope you can hold onto going down and of course use to pull yourself back up on the return. It is not maintained at all with large trees fallen over the trail. In one part you have to do an under-under-over maneuver to get through (and take off your backpack if you have one on.) It's very narrow with lots of roots. We couldn't focus on the beauty of the area because of how dangerous and cliff-like the trail is. It didn't help that we had our 4-year-old son with us. I had to hold his hand with him behind me almost the whole way. Needless to say we finally turned around without completing it. If you do this hike during mosquito season, make sure you wear bug spray (as we always do, but this trail was particularly bad.) We saw 3 large turtles hop off a log into the water when we got close; that was the cool thing. Whoever put this trail out here on AllTrails should really separate the 2 parts into 2 different trails.

Piedmont park is a great park, but this path should be updated if it’s gonna be dog friendly. You can’t walk dogs up on the track which is a 1/3 of this path. Other than that great time.

love the park. its WAS so beautiful. But now way to many Electric vehicles when it comes to scooters, bikes and so on.

Half of this trail is marked by the city of Sandy Springs. The other half you kinda have to find yourself, but the map is correct. The second, less traveled section of this trail starts behind the paddle shack. It’s a very thin strip of trail with lots of plants and muddy areas disrupting a rather easy trail. I suggest wearing hiking shoes and pants unless you want to risk poison ivy. Lots of bugs too. But the area itself is calm and relaxing near the lake, lots of shade for the brutal Georgia summers.

Nice easy trail to get out of the house and close to Brookhaven. I took my parents who have knee and hip issues and they were fine. 40 min walk, 1.66 miles, minimal elevation changes.

Main creek trail is short but nice. Side trails (a couple) pretty sketchy

My husband and I decided to check this park out after a long day. We came a little before it got dark and we started our walk where the little free library is. We decided to talk about scary and creepy stories we have heard about and thought it would be a perfect convo to have while it got dark. Definitely creepy at night, can barely see without a flashlight, and someone appeared behind us which made us scream a little when we saw him. Totally worth it because of the ambiance. 10/10 would recommend for late night scary story walks

We loved this trail, but found it to be poorly marked where you go up the hill. We weren’t sure exactly the right way to go and doubled back the way we came.

The footbridge was washed out by the Paddle Shack which obstructed entry to the trail segment alongside the river. The hilltop trail was confusing at times. Nice park though.

Great neighborhood walk/running trail around a large pond.

We did not do the entire trail as parts were very muddy and wet. The section along the lake was very pretty but I would not call this part EASY due to some hilly parts with lots of roots and places to balance on logs crossing streams.

Came here for the Sweep the Hooch event and stayed to walk the trail. Absolutely gorgeous, even on a rainy day. Perfect escape in the middle of the city.

Have come here many times over the years. It is a large, wonderful park that hosts many festivals and concerts. No special reason is needed to visit. Perfect for a sunny afternoon stroll and picnic with lots of trees for the ENO.

This trail is beautiful! It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Plenty of trees and some light wildlife along the trail. The trail loops around a beautiful lake that has great spots for pictures. Trail was easy for the most part, some areas a bit steep with tree stumps but overall not bad. Enjoyed it. Also, parking is free

Atlanta's iconic park. A local favorite. Parking can be a bit of a problem. Read signs when street parking to avoid getting a $25 ticket.

Trail is a nice little loop. Pretty simple. Easy parking. Easy to find.

Trail can be extended to be longer than shown in map here. Nothing very special, but a good hike with kids.
