Summer weekday morning hike. MUST have a quality bug spray for this hike. Beautiful woods and very quiet. Bring plenty of water and food. There are no services available here. Followed the trail to the Tolomato River. It is salt water fed from the ocean so there isn’t much small animal activity. However, there is a lot of marsh land and we came across an alligator on the path. Quite a thrill!!! In summer, the morning can be best as afternoon rain patterns persist.

Nice open trails with a lot to choose from. The West Loop is nice with a view of Lake Jackson. The East Loop is more in the woods. Easy to moderate trails. Good diversity.

Great run along the river. A few down trees on the trail, made for some good hurdles.

not well traveled or properly maintained the overgrown firebreaks make for a better trail in some places. until maintenance is done you would be better off choosing a different trail.

well maintained trails, nice place to go for a long hike in the shade.

Awesome trail. Great for running and biking.. Tons of iguanas.

Fun trail for learning about Florida coast wildlife.

Excellent place.

Nice walk, one trail requires boots as it's very wet but it's clearly marked and let's you know. shoe cleaning available when leaving the trail too.

bring bug spray! there are lots of mosquitoes. there is a community can of OFF! which I really appreciate.

very relaxed, light traffic on a Sunday morning

Nice footpath.

Maintained nice and had a neat little learning facility for my little one.

I thought there would be more of the trail next to the river. instead it was on the other side of a fence through some trees. we still went through to see the river lol. It was a good trail though my son saw a deer and we saw some deer tracks and scrapes. all in all we had a great time.

Hurricane Irma took its toll. The Flagler bridge is closed and the canopy is not quite what it was. The footing is much sandier. But then nature is what it is and being out in it is always a joy.

Great trail to run, biking might be tough in a few lower areas where water collects.

a very pleasant loop trail showcasing river views and wildlife if going counterclockwise look for river otters, hawks, and the occasional snake or gator) on the way out with a live oak - palm hammock on the way back.

There are ticks !!!!! This may or may my not be the trail i was on. Hot summer day. No mosquitoes. Saw some tracks. And just enjoyed a day, well one hour in the woods.

had a great time with my 3 and 7 yr old.

Can get there by kayak boat or ferry! Beautiful island beach and picnic area are great.

Fun jumps for a first timer here. Decent stretches to get some speed. Barely any roots/rocks. Several sandy areas were tough for my smaller tires. No tree cover, very sunny. Will definitely come back.

Love this place!!!!

Had a great hike with the kids there. Saw gators, turtles and a hawk. The rapids are beautiful, bathrooms & playground are nearby.

Love this track. Make sure to bring some water

This place was amazing. Gorgeous. Calm spring-fed river. Kayaking is great and relaxing here.

Nice easy hike. Go near sunset and catch some awesome shots on the sunset pier.

Absolutely my favorite trail in Jax to date. Love the elevation as it gets your heart pumping.

Very easy, probably a little better when it's a bit cooler.

I had such a blast hiking this trail with my two dogs! There was lots to see and lots of tinier trails off of the main trail. Due to excess rain, some parts of the trail have 6”+ of water so I would recommend wearing higher shoes/ socks if possible!

Nice trail. Hint: pick up the trail guide at the entrance. You can choose to stay on the paved ‘blue’ trail or wander off to more natural trails. We opted for the first cut off to the yellow trail. It goes out & comes back to the blue trail just a few few from where u left it. If. You want to do the yellow trail, watch for the trail marker (post w yellow dot) after you cross the bridge and the sandy unmarked trail. I can’t say how long it is but I just about finished a bottle of water. So we headed back to the car. Next time we’ll take a different route.
