Perfect for family walks but can be very muddy in places. Saw lots of beautiful flowers, birds, and trees.

Great little nature trail. Perfect length for my 4 year old with plenty of trees and crabs to explore. Lots of spots to sit and watch the manatees or put your feet in the water. Public dock access for canoes and kayaks.

We walked this trail at 9:30-11:00 so we got out to a late start. At the time there was plenty of shade 60/40. When we got to the loop vs bridge to lagoon we went right which begins the four mile loop, not the shorter loop that’s mapped out for this. We saw butterflies, a small gator, and plenty of land crabs. There’s about ten parking spots. Make sure to bring big spray as there are some areas with many mosquitoes. The paths are big once you get on the loop and there are some picnic tables in the beginning. We cut the four mile loop short as it was snack time for our two year old and we had left them in the truck.

A little buggy but I didn’t need bug spray. Beautiful view at the lookout and that’s the main attraction. Try to pick up any small trash you see and bring water!! It is very hot and there’s no wind on the train. The mangroves were cool.

Good for biking. Although sections were closed, you could still use them. The entrance to the loop was flooded and muddy however.

Very very muddy, would only recommend the trail in the dry season. There were also so many spiders over the trail, and you had to focus on not running into them. Otherwise, well maintained and many birds.

If not extremely wet this would have been a great trail. Lots of fauna and a nice trail. Bring bug spray
