Always a favorite when we are in Vero. Well kept trail and bridges. Do have to stay aware for gators since you have lagoon on both sides of trail, had one lurch out of weeds today. Also saw a spider the size of small dog, resembled a tarantula. Beautiful views of river at the end of the bridge.

Nice trail the southern portion can be a bit boring, lots of wild life.

enjoy time with family

Nice trail a bit boring on the south side not much to see, lots of snakes and the occasional alligator.

As others have said, you have to walk a mile and a half until you get to the woods. But then after another half mile you come to a beautiful quarter mile Bridge. Now on the way back I passed the parking area, and there was pick up truck. Parked there. So there must be someway and that we don’t know about. I’m wondering when you first come in if you go to the right instead of to The left if it takes you to the parking. There’s a great breeze. So number of hawks. Two adult deer and one fawn.

Too overgrown. Not sure why this trail is not maintained.

Much bigger than it seems. The gate was locked with no attendant so we parked and hoped the fence. It’s about a mile and half walk to the trail from there, bring a hat! We found the boardwalk, and a lot of dead spiders. Make sure you remember where you are going once you leave the boardwalk, we found a hidden camp area but almost got lost heading back as the trail isn’t clear. We were there for a few hours and didn’t see a single person. Loved the nature and plan to hike the whole thing in cooler months

nice , the boyfriend and I hike it a the time.

Great for hiking with smaller children.

Nice walk through the woods

This was my first trail run and it was fun and easy. We went right at dawn and didn’t run into anyone.

Easy but enjoyable walk through mangrove and on boardwalk

The “loop” is a country road (no cars) with trees on both sides, only occasional views of ponds and the river. Surface varies from packed sand to grass, great for running. There are a couple of picnic tables close to entrance along 1st part of trail. The mini-loop on the right side of the trail is recommended if you want some variation, it’s short but bumpy. A well-maintained boardwalk cuts across the loop to a pier on the river with a nice park bench, about a half-mile each way out/in and suitable for stroller if you bring your baby. Remember bug spray. One downer is people who pick up their dog’s poop in plastic bags then LEAVE IT laying on the trail or hanging in a tree — why‽‽‽‽‽

Disappointment. Trail closed due to Turkey hunting season.

Love the horseshoe lake trail!!!

Directions are wrong. The entrance is right off Oslo. I could not make it thru the trail due to higher water. Pretty muddy. It was nice what I saw and will try again when things have dried up a bit

Very nice. needs a little more signage.

Great trail for running.

First time out there today and it is was well worth the ride from Port St. Lucie. The trails are well marked and it's very quiet and secluded. Between the cypress swamp, pine forest, palm trees, and oak hammocks it's hard to pick a favorite. Plan ahead and call the sjrwmd to get the code for the gate otherwise you end up walking an extra 2 miles on a white dirt road.

The trail is well marked. Following the boardwalk will take you over the swamp and end with a panoramic view of the Indian River Lagoon.

One of the nice features of the park is that we could bring our dog.

Great way to see natural plant and animal life!

Relatively well maintained trails - about 2 miles worth. At around 2 miles it was pretty overgrown, so I made that my turnaround point - tromping though knee-high grass that close to swamps didn't strike me as wise. The look out tower was great - I needed to bring a book on local wildlife as the variety of birds was overwhelming! It's been pretty rainy the last 2 weeks yet the trails were spongey at worst. Minimal mosquitoes/bugs too, which surprised me. Great trail that allows dogs!!

Beautiful little park. The mini adventure trail was great for my kids! We saw lots of birds and fish. We will be back,

nice day hike, great for dog walkers. the off shoot trails could be better marked.
