Did the river and the nature trail, total for both loops was 2.6 miles. The east side of the trail per the app is weird, that’s where there are the amenities, but don’t know why it was mapped as a “V”. It’s an open area. The trail is marked and shaded, Loved the rapids, saw kayakers and an alligator.

Great trail to take dogs on. Easy enough hike that you can do in less than two hours. It’s open now.

Decent trail. Went on a day hike several times here. On weekdays there are very few people on the trail. Mountain bikes are allowed. Very little change in the vegetation. Watch for cottonmouth snakes.

We really enjoyed this trail because it's hard to find rapids in Florida. There were many old growth live oaks and cypress trees. They were draped with spanish moss and covered in resurrection fern. I look forward to a return to Hillsborough River State Park and hiking some more trails!

good trail for leisurely walk. saw turtles and alligators.

Easy hike that is well shaded and was an easy hike even on a hot day. The trail in narrow and a lot of roots sticking out of the ground so watch your step!

Good simple to navigate trail if you really just need a couple hours to walk. Some parts are unshaded, but pay attention at bridges for trail heads that lead to an unpaved/wooded hiking trail that is shady and snakes along a small creek. I saw lots of wildflowers and butterflies. Overall nice trail.

Beautiful, quiet walk.

Easy paved trial. I went on a cloudy day and it was fine but if you went on a sunny day you would want some sun protection. Lots of bike traffic, but the path ia wide enough noso its not a problem.

Wide double chariot, no problem!

Excellent trail. Was visiting Tampa and was looking for a rural run. Crushed rock path beside the bike path was easy on the legs and feet. Highly recommend. 3 or 4 water stops too to help on hot days/times.

This is a great paved trail loop! We rode there on 12/27/19 and a bridge was flooded so we had to walk around on the pedestrian bridge to get out to the main trail loop. We saw wild turkeys and a a lot of deer! There’s always something new to see! The recent rain has left it wet so the mountain biking trails may be wet. We ride this trail often and sometimes ride out to the levee and up to the Bruce B. Downs entrance to get some extra miles in.

Only hiked half, accidentally walking off the trail to the main access road but from what I saw I’d recommend

Dog friendly though muddy as it is next to the river. I saw plenty of water birds are well as two curious river otters.

Pretty good trail for a quick hike. Nothing too tough and the scenery is beautiful. If you decide you want a longer hike there's options for that too. Costs a little to get in but the trail is well kept so they spend the money well.
