Perfect for a long run. Flat and paved.

I bring my baby here to jog every Saturday morning. Always clean and friendly. Very quiet and peaceful at 8 am!

We took our kids here last week for a nature walk and were pleased to find a good combination of wilderness and easy walking trails! The trailhead is a good walk away from the parking area. Walk down the road to the sidewalk and then go a ways down the sidewalk. You will be able to see a boardwalk through the brush before you can see the trail entrance. There is a map on the bulletin board and I would suggest snapping a photo of it before you go! We missed the blue blaze in the beginning and ended up going on the wrong trail, but all in all it was a fun hike!

Great Place is connected to several other parks for some long rides

Nice place lots of other trails to hike too

spent 20 minutes trying to find a trail head before we gave up.

Pretty trail with a few places to rest. Great sunrise walk. I agree with the other reviews; for being a long trail, it would be great to have a restroom and water fountain along the way.

I walked the friendship bridge a week ago, it was nice and quiet. In the afternoons it's gets so busy, it's best to go in the morning.

Had a great bike ride on Morris Bridge Bike Trail today. The weather was great, though hot. The trail is through some stunning landscapes, varying from pint scrub to oak forest and cypress swamp. Most of the five miles of the main trail we did was dry and easy, though we hit some rough and muddy patches. Lots of evidence of feral pigs rooting near the trail, but we didn’t see any.

Beautiful trail by the water. Has options to other connecting trails.

Great for hybrid and road bikes and family cycling

family friendly fun. very well maintained. took my 6 and 16 year olds on a fathers day hike. both had a great time. saw 3 alligators and a lot of turtles, birds, and squirrels. definitely one of our favorite hikes in this area.

Loved it..

Awesome trail. Wide, paved and offers plenty to do from eating, river watching (dolphins) and exercise.

Great running trail!

Close to home and a great place to come walk the dog or go for a stroll. They could renovate a few of the trails and the huts but other than that it's a great place to bring the family for a picnic or a walk.

Being a skater and a runner, this is one of my go to spots. The views are just spectacular and get ready for some beautiful sunsets if you come that late. The pavement is flat and new.

I love what the city has done with this trail. A scenic tour of Downtown Tampa with a very modern design. Great for a stroll or a jog. I come out here at least once every other week.

Great flat paved trail perfect for running, biking, skating, you name it. The views are nothing spectacular but then again it was made mostly for running and cycling.

Great for a morning or evening jog with beautiful views of Tampa Bay. I've run various distances along Bayshore and it's always a pleasant run.

Both loops and the spur are open now, with minimal water on the ground for all the rain we just had.

Only the preserve loop is open right now as of April 2018. So that is the loop on the right. It is marked on the map in the parking lot. Also the trail head is kind of hidden but it is also marked on the map. Did the whole loop today, it was about 2 miles starting from the parking lot and back. The trail is marked well. Didn’t run into any wildlife either. It was actually pretty peaceful. Nice little walk.

As other reviewers have noted, yes this is right next to the dump. Aside from the smells, there is trash littered throughout the unpaved trails, including a lot of broken glass and what appeared to be soiled tissues. This trail also is right near what I believe is a Tampa Police Department training area, I heard lots of sirens and rapid acceleration/deceleration. But there is an observation tower on the Southwest side of the peninsula.

extremely nice trail..

Very easy trail... started at Cypress Point Park.... to Clearwater and back... Total 22.21 miles. Good thing it was a cloudy day... no shade. Differently and early morning or an evening trail.

Another beautiful downtown path right on the water. Perfect for walking/ running/ biking/ roller blading

Beautiful walking/ running / bike path in downtown Tampa.
