Great trail to run. Nice views. Saw a deer and just a nice run.

This trail is ideal to run with dogs. Most of the trail is shaded with green canopy. There is parking and water available (for humans and dogs).

One of our favorite trails. A little difficult to find the best exit from the end of the outer loop. Easy to moderate.

Great moderate trail, few roots and marginal elevation rises. My wife and I love the open pine forest terrain!

This is a pretty good trail, but I would not consider it to be moderate difficulty. It’s an easy stroll. We took our dog as well.

This trail is very wide and open but some sections have a more narrow walking trail just to the side where you will be more in the woods. Views of the water throughout but you don't get very close to it. We went on a cold but sunny winter day and had a great time. This trail connects to others in the area - Tom Brown park and Lafayette Heritage Trail)

Trail was quiet and easy to follow, with nice scenery. Was pleasantly surprised! Wasn’t quite sure where to park based on directions from All Trails, so picked up a map at the gate entrance which was incredibly helpful. Parked on the side of the road down past the equestrian field and entered the trail from there. Map was helpful on hike as well.

nice trail. gravel and dirt well maintained by the county. plenty of ups and downs. good for the whole family and the dog. more of a walk than a hike.

Nice and fast

This is a nice trail, however... if you are like me and just used to doing road cycling on straight paved roads, this will be a bit tougher as the trail is sandy and has some hills. So I wasn't used to that at all, but look forward to going back and being able to handle it better each time.

Also, it had just rained slightly and I didn't see that as a problem, but it was because the pathway became just a bit softer and on some of the hills going down I was slipping a bit.

Absolutely amazing hike anywhere you pick up the trail!

Well maintained trails that intersect access roads at various points. These roads allow one to enter and exit the bike trail as desired. The landscape in the Munson Hills is beautiful & unique by Florida standards.

Munson trail is fun but nothing too challenging in terms of terrain. Make sure to take the 5 minute detour on the Luge. Stay clear of the Twilight loop due to the amount of sand on the trail.

I have started riding recently after about a 5 year break. Munson trails is a great trail system. This is a well used singletrack trail that is well maintained. Trail markings are great!. The scenary is great, the trail is somewhat challenging at times and I highly recommend it. My son loves this trail!

First, the map directions are currently showing off 319? It is actually 1/2 mile south of capital circle on woodville highway. Can't miss the parking area immediately past the first light south of capital circle. Restrooms, bike wash area, water fountains.

The Munson trail itself is a very well maintained single track and IMO a very fast trail. 14-16mph average is achievable! Absolutely, one of the best in Tally with Tom Brown being the other. Munson itself is a blast and connects to twilight. Twilight has soupier sand, slower and is less travelled, but also well worth the ride. The ludge section is fun; so, do not pass it up! it loops back around- i usually enter the second entrance if riding the munson trail counter clockwise. Also near the trail or first major intersection, try all the options. The shortcut (left/west option) is fun too. Another major intersection that will reveal more options is by the water fountain/paved St Marks paved trail option.

Take a picture of the trail map posted at the parking lot (I will post a picture here). Newbies to the area may find themselves lost otherwise. Google maps will reveal the bike trails too. Or head east on any road and it will bring you back to the st marks paved bike trail (also a excellent road bike trail).

If passing through town, do not miss Tom brown (Lafayette) and the connecting Cadillac and fern trails! Much more challenging for those looking for an insanity quad burning ride! But Wear your helmet ;-)

It is a beautiful trail. Very challenging of all the Tallahassee Mountain Biking trails.

Love this trail. There are 3 trails actually, Twilight, Munson and Tall Pine. These are mountain biking trails located at the head of the St Marks Trail. My favorite is the Munson trail which is full of mini hills reminding me of small bmx hills. It is a beautiful ride through the forest. Every Monday is Munson Monday when the local Tallahassee Mountain Bike Association gets together and rides at 6:30. TMBA can be found on facebook.
