I love this trail. Great for biking, walking, running, or just walking the dog. Scenery is fantastic and a wonderful place to spend some time.

Beautiful, shady trail. It is open, that needs to be updated. We used the Maclay Gardens trailhead access, which puts you closer to the trail around Lake Overstreet than the Miccosukee Rd. / Forest Meadows access. Well maintained and good signage.

Amazing place to hike; starts with a large boardwalk over to the lake complete with fishing fingers and biking trails. Can be very crowded so keep social distancing in mind. Tons of birds, wildflowers, and alligators. Great trail for dogs and children.

Very crowded trail that winds through a small forest. Tons of invasive species and not very well kept, but a good short hike if you live in the area. Lake is a great picnic spot complete with a dog park and a short boardwalk. Came across 3 Pileated Woodpecker in the parking lot, keep an eye out!

All trails are back open! Center loop (orange markers) was a great 3-mile hike out to the lake and back. Caught a glimpse of a bald eagle. Be mindful of ticks. Will definitely come back for the East Loop.

I recommend this trail for all skill levels. Anyone with a decent MTB can tackle this but, be careful. There are a few surprises. Make sure to slap a helmet or two as you fly past them! Declines are nice and balanced. My Cannondale ate the climbs up. You can go in either direction on this shaded and windy trail in the hills of Tallahassee.

Awesome ride with the family!! Smooth clean and enjoyable with a great stop for food by the water.

I took my dog out here one day when I had a little extra time one day. It was well shaded which is necessary in May in Tallahassee. It was a little confusing to know exactly where to go, but I never felt completely lost. I will definitely be going back and exploring more. It was an easy trail to cover with a 12 year old dog who is slowing down a little but these days

Great time as always... unfortunately hills have not gotten smaller

There are a few downed trees blocking parts of the trail to climb over. Great views, though. Very shady, clearly marked blazes make it impossible to get lost. Be sure to wear bug spray.

This is a great place for trail riding on horseback. Most of the bicyclists are very cognizant that horses have the right of way but they need to remember to speak so the horses know they are human not an alien.

trail is beautiful and shaded, however way too many people on bikes who do not signal via bell or voice to.let hikers know they are coming up behind them. I almost got taken out by a biker today because I had to stop. People on bikes please use your voice.. we can't hear you behind us.

Today I rated the trail low because of bicycles. they need to have a bell or horn and a voice to let hikers know that they are behind them. I almost got clipped 3 times today

I think this is funny how the phone linked to all the towers and placed me all over making my trip over 40 miles and 130+ miles per hr. We had a great time on the moderate trails then around Piney Z Lake too.

This place is absolutely amazing horseback ride. We rode on the trail and the trees are so huge and the forest is so dense that the sun barely breaks thru the canopy of beautiful hardwoods like oaks, magnolia and massive long leaf pines. It was 80 degrees but you would never know it under the trees in the shade they provided. A nice cool breeze blew bring along with it the sweet smell of honeysuckles and wild flowers. The fresh air was so refreshing and crisp for such a warm day. We watch a red tail hawk swoop in after a squirrel but lucky for the squirrel he missed but we got a great view of the hawk as he landed in a nearby tree planning his next move. The horse trail so long, winding, and narrow but magical. I swear I saw the Keebler Cookie Eff house tree. I can't wait to go again.

One of Tallahassee’s best mountain bike trails, Red Bug recently(Jan 2020) was rehabbed by a professional trail builder. Challenge yourself with many fun Technical Trail Features(TTF) and ride it both ways to make sure you maximize your fun. You will definitely stop at a few sections and session some of the TTFs.

It is a drivable loop with a walking trail that cuts through the middle. Beautiful dense forest all around. Its ok for a light exercise. Not a lot of scenery.

Very shaded for the most part. Lots of interconnecting trails makes it confusing to navigate. Good for trail jogging. Steep hills and stumps.

Was a great trail for Sunday walk but next time think we will bike it.

Beautiful trail with plenty of tree cover. Saw a pair of bald eagles and lots of woodpeckers. If you continue to the Oak Hammock loop there's a pretty view of Lake Jackson.

I like AllTrails but something seriously missing in the description so far in most trails I look at is official entrance/ parking information; not hopefully finding it in someone's review. This trail was great, but if you did not know where to look for the non-descript dirt driveway on Tennessee st., that looks like a service vehicle entrance, you would pass it like I did the first time. At the end of the main straight away there is a sign for Lake Talquin State Forest and it looks like you can park there, or there are a couple spots on the side of the trail you can park like I did, as long as you don't block one of the gates, or the track of course. This info really needs to be in the main description
