My buddy and I use to hike this trail all the time about two years ago. There are some really cool views of the lake, a couple primitive camping spots (no water), and a group fire pit/picnic table area. The trail can be split up to make it as long as you’d like.
I did try to go yesterday, and it was temporarily closed.

It’s boring and short

I personally feel this pro has the best trail system in Tallahassee! The different trails offer different experiences. There is a nice sort of greenway at the heart of the park too. It’s never been crowded anytime I’ve been.

A hidden gem! There’s a dog park too, so bring your pets.

Great trail for running. Watch out for bikes!

The Leon Sinks Geological area has about 5 miles of trails total - the one mapped here is the Sinkhole Trail/Crossover Trail. This trail goes by all the big sinks and has informational signage along the way about how sinks form, Florida's karst geology, etc. The Crossover Trail portion has a fun boardwalk through a swamp, and they've recently redone all the boardwalks and observation decks. There are bathrooms with flush toilets, sinks, and water fountains at the trailhead. There is a small fee for this area (honor system).

This trail is easy, well-marked, and well-maintained. Moderate is overstating this trail's difficulty. Great for families and usually see lots of trail runners.

Hiked all 3 loops in middle Sept. It took 3 hours you have to watch your step. Lots of sticks and leaves on trail. keep on eye on the orange blazes. I ran into a deer and 2 raccoons on trail. No snakes this time. There is a little elevation on the hike but not much
. A little mud and slippery bridges. I would recommend for a private training hike.

Very new to hiking/exploring so this is from a beginner. The park would be amazing if it were maintained better and had better markings.

Beautiful walking trail and amazing mountain bike trail! My favorite scenic spot inside of Tallahassee. Lake Piney Z and Lake Lafayette are good for paddling too if the water isn't too low. Ospreys and Limpkin can be spotted here.

Two good loops - east and west. They offer different experiences. West offers a lake view, east is more wooded. Both are well marked and mildly challenging.

Short but nice little trail, I brought my puppy and she was able to hike it no problem. Also has a fenced in dog area where she was able to run around without the leash. I’d recommend going early before it gets busy, especially if you’re bringing a dog.

Great trail to run. Nice views. Saw a deer and just a nice run.

This is a good trail if you want to go out for a walk, but if you're trying to get "in nature," I would pass. Part of the trail has you basically walking through the backyards of homes in a subdivision. Otherwise, the lake at the end is gorgeous and there was cool wildlife out there.

This trail is ideal to run with dogs. Most of the trail is shaded with green canopy. There is parking and water available (for humans and dogs).

Great series of connected bikes trails running from Weems Road east past the lakes, up through the heavily wooded hills and even across lakes to Billy’s Trail and Alford Greenway. Very diverse topography, and lots to see. There is truly something for everyone on this trail system! It’s one of my “go to” bike trails for a good work out and beautiful scenery. Easy to moderate.

Partly narrow, partly wide shared use trail. Loops around outside edge of Greenway A little difficult to find the best exit from the end of the outer loop. Easy to moderate.

Nice open trails with a lot to choose from. The West Loop is nice with a view of Lake Jackson. The East Loop is more in the woods. Easy to moderate trails. Good diversity.

Gorgeous trail!

Not a bad walk. I think I was the first one there since I got all the spider webs. A lot of roots so watch your step.

We ended up walking a little over 6 miles because we got a little lost. Definitely plan to return again.

nice wide trail! Like all trails in Florida, bring bug spray! Great trail inside Tallahassee city limits!

Short loop around wooded lake. Fair trail conditions, but nice refreshing lake to use after you’re done!

Great walk. Awesome view.

We enjoyed this short trail. The steepheads are interesting and the bridges over the creek are nice. We didn’t see any remains from the Butler Mill site but the trip is worth it just to see the Indian mounds just before the trail.

Relaxing trail great for running.

Nice easy hike. Don't let the deers scare you when they jump out. All 3 trails combine for 9 miles and is a nice 3 hour hike.

This trail is a true North Florida gem! Needs a little maintenance but still a great trail. Did the outer loop (4.5 miles) which started with the Sinks Trail and connected to the Gum Swamp Trail to get the maximum distance.

My favorite trail in Tallahassee. The dog loves it too. Usually not busy, great views of the lake.
