Holy hot! Wear sunscreen and a hat, bring bug spray and lots of water, and you'll have a great hike! Can get muddy in some areas. Look out tower is on the first boardwalk if you park at the history building. The area deemed "look out point" on the map is a pretty walk but not much of a look out.

Fun trail for learning about Florida coast wildlife.

Easy ramp for kayaks, can explore around mangroves and continue paddling to Boca Ciega Bay. Hose to rinse down kayak when you pull it out of the water.
Kayak Nature Adventures is located close to the launch ramp and rents both single & tandem kayaks.

Easy loop nature trail. Well marked and nicely placed wildlife identification signs. Good show of the dynamic ecosystems of coastal zones that rebound quickly after disturbances.

Short but scenic

Easy trail. “Hard” rating is way off the mark.

Light hike, but very scenic. We’ll kayak it next time.

Nice boardwalks and plenty of wildlife. Fairly busy place the day we went even if it was a week day.
Only negative is the high noise level coming from I275

Nice boardwalk. Short but well maintained trails. Also an observation tower is located on South side of the park. Can rent kayaks across the street from the main parking.

Nice peaceful walk

Fantastic board walk thru the mangroves. The whole Weedon Island facility is first rate.

Great outdoor walk in Pinellas which is hard to find.

The kayak trail through the mangroves that really makes this place unique. Depending your pace and tides, and if you want to spend time in the deeper bay waters, one of the many fishing holes, or stop at the sandbar for a swim, the trail ranges between 2/6 hours to paddle.

It's excellent for critter spotting. A wide variety of birds, dolphins, rays, fish, and crabs inhabit the groves and on land you'll be sure to see a raccoon sneaking about, maybe even an armadillo.

It's a St Pete gem that offers enough of a scenic relief, you can forget the city is just over your shoulder.

Very easy trail...not sure why it is categorized as hard. Good for a quick "hike". Take good bug spray.

It was beautiful and had lots of wildlife... including the worst mosquito swarm I'd ever experienced. Didn't make it as far as we'd planned as a result. Hopefully not the norm, because it was great otherwise.

Beautiful diversity of plant and animal life. Tram ride was very interesting with Dave, who is a dedicated and knowledgeable volunteer! Very family friendly.
