Wear your old hiking boots. Extremely muddy in several places. Several branches closed due to habitat restoration.

Great 4-mile loop canoe trail taking you through mangrove tunnels. The first 2-miles are covered and the last 2-miles are on the open river. Currently the trail is marked with orange engineer tape at the entrance points to the mangroves and then finish off the adventure with a great hike on a raised deck or get more natural and use the BoyScout cut trail, either way it’ll make for a great afternoon activity. Check the tides to ensure you’ll have a foot of clearance for your SUP.

easy, mosquito infested, muddy trail. real Florida...love it.

Nice wild trail with a good mix of boardwalk, raised walkways, and natural earth paths. Lots of little side areas to explore.

Fun lots of cover but also a ton of bugs and pretty muddy

Great trail over mangroves and clear paths into wooded areas. I was glad I packed water, and wore sunscreen and bug spray. Definitely enjoyed it.

Nice park but not dog friendly.

This is a very nice park with well-maintained grass and boardwalk. There’s a good amount of parking, a restroom, educational signs on vegetation and wildlife, and a few picnic tables and benches. On the trails themselves, there are lots of shady sections but also mosquitos, so come prepared.. The vegetation is nice & lush from all the rain that we’ve been having. Our first time there today and we saw plethora of gators small to medium-sized, yellow-eared turtle, softshell turtle, Anhingas, armadillo, spiders, and lizards.

nice wide, paved path. should not be considered hard at all. runs parallel to the road, just be aware a few intersections for parking lots

very easy Trail, plenty of shade and places to picnic. if you don't like the crowds this is the place to go. you pay $5 to get into the park, but if you're s disabled vet it's free. If you want to come here often it"s best to buy a yearly pass as it's cheaper.

a beautiful, peaceful place. Family-friendly with nice walking trails, the only drawback if you want to consider it one is the intense wind., which most likely most of it came from the storm it came through the day before. You can walk through a self-guided tour of the defense positions for the coastal.

short but good trail

such an amazing trail, and the view is gorgeous

Excellent. Saw a huge alligator eat a turtle. Beautiful foliage also. Went there twice in as many days. Can't wait to go back.

If you want to see Florida wildlife up close, this trail is for you! You can make it as long as you want. Saw an alligator catch and eat a turtle. Also, saw snakes, lizards, and multiple tortoises!

Quick loops to run but nice boardwalks and popular so you’ll be around plenty of people if that’s what you’re looking for.

Great place to run a 5k or practice for one.

This was an easy short trail. Had a few little parts that went right up to the water. The trail had a good mix of shade and sun.

Nice easy trail through mangroves with a few views of the water (except the Lookout Trail, which doesn't really have a lookout despite the name).

Wish it was longer

Loved the Boy Scout Loop! Beautiful scenery and shaded.

Favorite trail in the tampa area! there is actual dirt trail running!! The boardwalk over the mangroves are pretty neat too.

I am a local, and this trail and the area should be considered easy! Mostly paved, some sand/dirt paths, but definitely no way this is hard or even moderate!

Really pretty and lots of trails that aren’t on the map, but LOTS of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray!
