The park has an entrance fee of $8 dollars per vehicle.

It’s a short hike but the trail itself is super nice with a very definite worn in foot path. Lots of shade and a few small inclines. The sign says a 30-minute walk but I got through it in about 20 or so minutes at a fast pace. The only reason for the four-star review is just that it’s a bit short but that’s just a personal preference! Nice hike.

Kind of a boring trail, but not really a trail at all. Your hike is on rutted dirt roads which range from hard pack to gravel to soft sand. Even with hard showers everyday the roads have great drainage but assisting in keeping things dry is that unrelenting sun. Be prepared for full sun with little to no shade.

Out of this large parcel of land this short trail is all that is available to hike, there are plenty of other roads branching off but all are posted because the property is under long term lease to log.

Saw some fresh hog tracks but no other signs of wildlife.

Not worth traveling far to do this hike. Friends and I did it after lunch at Woodpeckers Backyard BBQ which is definitely worth the drive!

Beautiful. We went on a Thursday morning and saw maybe 20 other people. This will be part of our St Augustine trip from now in!

Cool walk! I saw a manatee there for the first time.

Nice beach walk. Heavy people traffic at first but the farther you go the more deserted it gets.

Fun, shady. A few stairs. There was no parking opened right in front of the trail but parking was open at the road before the trail take a right and park on the right.

no place quite like St Augustine. posts of history and so much to see and do.

Not a long trail but a favorite for incline.

good clear trail, kids lost interest quickly, variety of animal tracks found

Plan your visit Castillo de San Marcos around when they shoot the cannon. Not a wanna be wimpy cannon, a full on rocking cannon. Lots to eat and many activities near by.

We did it as a combination of walking and scenic driving. We particularly enjoyed exploring the unique Old City and Castillo de San Marcos. And the kids happily got in some extra trick-or-treating, as many of the local shops and restaurants were handing out candy the day before Halloween.

Hilly (particularly for Florida), but wouldn't take you longer than 30 minutes to complete.

Trees. Lots of trees

I really liked this walk! It was a nice wide trail. Walked with my dog and she had a great time as well. Not very much wildlife but the trees/shrubs made lovely scenery.

fantastic ride along the beach but only at low tide. Did about 10 miles out and back. When the wind is against you it can be a little tough but when it is with you there is nothing better.

New signs have been put in along hwy. 206 just west of the drawbridge to mark the location of this trail. A 3.8 mile single track/one way mountain bike trail has been cut through the area within the last couple years. To get to the trail head, enter at the eastern end and ride in on the dirt road about 2/10's of a mile. The single track trailhead will be on the right hand side. The trail goes through multiple types of terrain. There's lots of curves, narrow bridge challenges, logs to cross over, mild hills, roots, and a senior section along a bluff which overlooks the estuary. Once your finished riding this, I suggest you then ride the dirt road (trails), as they are very senic with large old oaks creating a curtain head. The trees are full of Spanish Moss making for a very senior ride. Camping is allowed, but only at one of the four designated sites on a first come, first serve basis. This area is free to use and camp at. Remember to bring insect repellent, as there's plenty of a. I give this area 5 Stars, as the single track trail can be very challenging.

Ancient Dunes is a nice little trail in the state park. I was surprised it wasn't just a flat trail. We had fun walking around the trail.

Easy trail to do with kids.

Well maintained if uneventful. Unfortunately, views are limited, even for Florida. Still would be great for kids, Scouts, etc.
