no shade

I think my recording data got messed up but nonetheless I really liked this trail. I should have started a little earlier as the heat starts to present a challenge once the sun is up. There are some shady parts from the overhang/canopy of the trees but most of the trail is at the sun's mercy. It's relatively flat and sandy. The sand was decent as well even though it had rained the prior day. I didn't sink down or have any struggles. The trail is well marked. I took the red trail and it twists and turns until you get to the loop at the end and then head back. There is plenty of wildlife, especially turtles. I also saw frogs and various birds but not too many people. I finished the trail in about an hour and a half with stops to reflect and take pictures.

We missed some beautiful trees that they went last December. I think they cut down all of them sad.

Great trail. Some places not well marked if you really want to follow this trail definitely keep an eye on the map at all forks. Beautiful nature walk.

Exhausted after peddling through sand and grass

Thoroughly enjoyed this trail. One of my favorites in the area.

Stick with the red trail unless you want the challenge of walking through soft sandy terrain of the Yellow trail.

The first few minutes were “meh”, BUT it got better and better as I progressed. I really liked this trail. I plan on going back. This may be obvious, but I don’t recommend going right after rain. Can’t remember the last time it rained but I did encounter a little mud.

Nice trail but no shade. Definitely not a Florida summer trail.

This is our first time hiking this trail. The first part of the trail, the red trail, was great. Something happened with my watch and phone so I missed the first part of the recording. I started recording right where the red loop meets the yellow loop. The yellow loop was not good. And that’s being nice. It was all sugar sand for 2 miles. My husband and I handled it fine because we’re somewhat in shape… But if you’re a beginner hiker… This would be torture. The red trail was beautiful. There’s A little creek where our dog was able to cool off and swim a little. However during the summer the yellow trail would be brutal! And even with a glorious 73° breezy Florida day... the yellow loop was not enjoyable.

So many flowers!!!

it was a good walk, pretty easy. standard Florida trail

Hiked the red and blue trails...AWESOME...saw a hawk eating a snake, a pileated woodpecker, bluebirds, 2 small hogs..about 30 pounders, forgot my binoculars to see critters in the pond..I went on an overcast sprinkly kind of day. Can't wait to go back to photograph some more.

This trail is not for the novice hiker. The first 2 miles are easy but there are some confusing areas because the trail is not well marked. Also you will get wet fording a small creek. A small foot bridge is out which forced me to turn around.

This trail is more of a fire road than an actual trail. The back "yellow" loop is all sand. I would not do this hike in any of the warmer months.

Trail is well maintained but there is a lacking of blazing. Pay attention to your map

Red trail was very nice and scenic. Provides good shade during your hike. Yellow trail is mostly uncovered and very sandy. Definitely worth exploring both, but the yellow trail was a disappointment. Plenty of hog digging going on also.

Not a bad trail, but there were a couple really big puddles of water, 1 especially hard to get around and the trail markers are not super obvious to a newbie.

I started this trail intending to run 30 or so - I got lost and ended up running for about 2 hours. Nonetheless, I met a few turtles, snakes and jumanji sized mosquitoes which kept things interesting! Would recommend for the adventurous at heart. 5 Stars.

Nice local area to hike. Today I hiked roughly 5.3 miles. Trail conditions great, sandy trail was dry, and temperature was good(afternoon hike 79 degrees).

There are a lot of the trails that are shaded but mostly because it’s overgrown, the blue and red trails are easy to follow but going by AllTrails also will lead you along the horse trail that is very hard to follow. I didn’t see any wildlife, and if it rains just a little bit some of the trail will be very muddy or underwater

The trail was really good. To hike all trails was a little over 8 miles. Will probably go back again in the future.
