Pretty good for the Florida Panhandle. More elevation change than you'd expect and a short stretch along the river.

Apple maps really struggles with navigation around UWF; park in the NW corner of lot G by the Anthropology and Environmental Science building. Trailhead is behind the building.

great walk, areas under construction created less hiking area

Beautiful, easy trail. Enjoyed the solitude of a scenic lunch at the point watching osprey dive for fish.

Climbing and straight boardwalk with access to the beach. Views of the water are throughout the walk. Dogs on leash but remember that it is predominantly a boardwalk so there is no place for them to do their business without leaving the boardwalk. There are places to do that.
Makes you sweat but it's a good up and down walk and will help with stamina building. You can circle back and repeat the walk to parking areas or you can walk on side of roadway (plenty of room) to return to car. There are two parking areas for both ends.

Nice enough walk, but short and easy. Nothing moderate about it.

Returned to do the lower portion of the trail and observation deck. This is a much better view with plenty of wildlife compared to the upper loop. I recommend doing the east side trails, not west across the park road.

If you're walking the boardwalks, it's easy to get lost. No signs back to the parking lots. Trash cans were overflowing when I went. Felt unsafe going by myself.

trail running

I do not recommend these trails for the trail runner- most of the trail is super sandy and hard to navigate. The first mile of the loop was pretty, but then it just turned into scrub with not much to see. At one point I was in a yard of someone's house with no clear indication of trail. Needs better signage on the last mile.

Nice boardwalk down to the water. smaller trails on the side seem nice.
