I loved this little hike-the trail was a little confusing at times but I figured it out and enjoyed it overall. Trail is mostly soft sand which wouldn’t be so easy for those with back issues. I loved seeing the colors of winter, saw the cutest armadillo, a family of deer and waterfowl playing in the cove.

An "ok" place for walking but it was no hike. The trail was not properly marked.. Also not properly marked in the app... so we did get "lost". The trail is almost all sand.. Not a place I will be returning too. No military discount. $6 per car

I grew up coming here, East Hill boy. First Ill say, this place is not used as much as it should be. There are signs saying its under renovation, but I dont see much work happening. The stairs are cumbersome for people out of shape, so a more logical approach would be replacing the current steps and employing a ramp system. Clear out a few trees and create a view, update the area and bam, our forgotten bay can be loved properly.

Now for the walks.....great walk along the boardwalk where some beautiful scenery comes into the view. You do have access to leave the boardwalk to go on the coast, but be cautious of the railroad tracks, trains DO come trough often.
Its a great area of Pensacola that needs some attention, but very enjoyable as it is!!

Its one of my favorite places to go relax on a nice day...

a little rough in the beginning churned up muddy path, but still passable. We took a slight detour and walked along the beach very peaceful.

I pushed my son in a job stroller. the first mile or two sucked it's boggy from machinery... the rest was excellent!

Decent boardwalk trails were under construction and closed

BEWARE: They are SUPER serious about locking the gates on time. Make sure you time your hike out well.

Also, if it’s been super rainy for a while, a lot of the trail will be impossible to get through, right in the beginning.

It is otherwise one of my favorite trails.

Great trail! Lots of wildlife and insects. Be prepared for yellow flies, bees, and snakes. The trail can be moderately difficult at times; allowing for a great workout.

Great trail, beautiful view of the bay.

Fantastic. No high-rise hotels and condos. Not many people. Gulf of Mexico at its finest.

Make sure you look at the map on the trail so you know where you're going

Not bad at all. It's actually pretty nice. $3 to enter. Ensure you go when it's dry. Trail is not marked good at all.

Sad that you have to pay $15 to enter.

Starts out a nice trail but during the summer it's very humid. after raining it has many large puddles making it hard to follow the trail.

Great little trail if you don't want to venture far away from the city.

Fairly easy save for the stairs. Has a beach access but you have to cross over railroad tracks. Also has two entrances with parking lots.

Did this one last year. Waited a few days after it rained but much of it was still wet with large pools of water. Some parts of the trail can get confusing because some of the trail markers are covered in brush making it difficult especially when there are two paths to take. Because of the humidity and bugs I'd suggest waiting until winter for this one.

well worth the hike for the view

Pretty good for the Florida Panhandle. More elevation change than you'd expect and a short stretch along the river.

Apple maps really struggles with navigation around UWF; park in the NW corner of lot G by the Anthropology and Environmental Science building. Trailhead is behind the building.
