Pretty nice views. Not shaded much. Saw a lot of tortoises but the grasshoppers were insane

Fir over 15 years, I’ve enjoyed hiking and riding this trail network. By far, it’s one of the best small trails in the region.
However, there is a tree near Rybolt’s Reserve which is leaning on a powerline and has been since hurricane Irma. This is definitely a safety issue as it crosses a portion of the trail.

I have very mixed feelings of this trail. The majority of it was closed off due to the boardwalk being under construction, so I only got to hike about a quarter mile. HOWEVER, in that short time span I saw both an armadillo and an otter so it was definitely worth the visit. I’ll go back in about two weeks to try and do the whole thing. Definitely worth looking into.

This was a decent trail. Don’t get me wrong the trail itself is great. There are some long shaded sections and some nice scenery along the way. The wildlife, however, is pretty lacking. I hiked the entire trail in the morning and saw just a turkey, a hawk and a bunch of lizards. It was a bit underwhelming but still a good day. It’s worth doing if you’ve never done it before but that’s about it.

My first time in Oviedo, I was looking for an end of day walk when I happened upon this scenic macadam trail. It was quiet with occasional bikers, and joggers, and dog-walkers doing their thing, while I strolled along for a couple of hours. The pathway was exceptionally well—maintained, with lots of greenery.

If you like the adventure, this is the right place to explore the trails, is quiet and you can see lots of turtles in the rute. Better to go when is good weather because there isn't shelter. No restrooms. Free parking. Pet friendly. Great for hiking, bicycling and horseback riding.

Enjoyed the walk

It's still closed from the hurricane as of 1/28/18

Long and lots of turns ! Watch the map!

love the river part

Hiked it with all of my children at many different ages! Great trail for everyone. The payoff of the lookout tower makes it a great reward for the kids hard work walking!

Nice trail. Saw 2 snakes, one of which was a nice sized rattlesnake. Plenty of bear and animal tracks. One of the bridges was down but my boyfriend and I had a great time finding our way across. There are a few dead ends if you begin to venture off into alternate paths but all in all if was a nice simple enough trail.

Great trail for all level of riders, with some great scenery and wildlife. For a 360 video of a portion of the trail, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDoUv27_BVg&feature=share

A decent Trail to hike, Well marked. Unfortantly, I did not get to see much wildlife which is why i love to hike, but I did get to see a large gopher tortoise, an eastern fence lizard and foot tracks from a black bear. I will check this trail out again in the future.

A beautiful trail to Hike. Parts of the trail were flooded after Hurricane Irma, but was still passable. We went during the middle of the day so we did not get to see much wildlife, but we were lucky enough to see a Red Tail Hawk, a 5' Alligator and a Pigmy Rattlesnake on the trail. Although there is limited parking at the Trail Head, the Trail seemed to be heavily traveled by other hikers. This trail is relatively close to my house so I will be going back to hike it again.

The trails were fairly well marked, and the route featured a lot of shade and beautiful oak trees. My only suggestion is not to hike this trail during rainy season, as we were not able to complete the loop due to the river covering the trail. We had to turn around and go back the way we had come.

nice place too go with the family take the kids they will love it. if you like hiking, birdwatching or scenic walking ya'll love it. there's lots of wildlife too see.

The Boardwalk is a lovely walk-through that opens up into a scenic loop with a couple varied pathways. The contrast between the forested area and the scenic trail is stark. Rattlesnakes are identified to roam the area so my senses were a little more heightened that I would have liked. Overall, it was a decent morning walk.

Perfect trail for a quick evening hike. I don't think I'd enjoy this trail in the middle of the day as it wasn't shaded most of the time.

Great start through moderate vegetation, crossing several wooden bridges. Little scenic enjoyment though once you reach the clearing and follow the loop trail. Nothing to be proud of, but not a waste of time either. 3/5

This is a wonderful trail that stretches along a nice residential area. Everyone on the trail is so nice and it is always clean. There are many locations on the trail that make it exciting. It is great for all activities. On a bike you can do the whole trail and check downtown Oviedo. If you walk or run, it is shaded and has many great views of the forest in Florida. I recommend this trail to anyone if they ever get the chance.

Beautiful area! Boardwalk ends into a lightly trafficked trail. Ran across a pigmy rattler and called it a day.
