Nice trail with lots of shade. Also fun to see small farm with quite a few farm animals.

the first half of the trail is fantastic for bird watching, but it dumps you into a less than scenic area and than along a highway.

Took south trail on way to a Geocache. Took secondary trails back to lake. Saw 7 deer on the journey. Thumbs up.

*Shingle Creek. The name is misspelled

the first part of the trail is shaded and has some good sights. the loop part of the trail was flooded and we couldn't finish it, so we ended up turning around.

We used Middle School entrance. If you follow the trail map and go to the right after the main entrance bridge ends there is a a pretty area you can walk through with trees overhead. (Much) less than a mile in and there is a big marshy clearing where you can walk with no trees overhead to do the loop. We decided to just go back since we prefer scenery. When we returned to the main bridge we continued on past it off the trail map (where we would’ve gone if we took a left instead of right) and this was a pretty good walk through forest. Next time we’ll do both these and skip the “loop” portion.

great trail... didnt see anyone else the entire hike. only wish it were longer

Beautiful for Hiking and Mountain Bike has 2 tracks to do both aprox. 2 miles. Has another Open track only grass and no shade. Recommend Hot day or Summer season do it in the Morning.

A nice place to walk downtown. The lake is beautiful, there are lots of swans and ducks to see, and there is music around the whole loop.

Serene and quiet trail even though is in a Very populated area not many people do the trail mainly they stay in the park area which is right next to it with lots of open space and sport facilities, ample parking is available, I love this trail, I go mostly everyday around 7pm and is not crowded which I appreciate it.

Nice Floridian nature retreat in the middle of the town. Recommending hiking there with sunrise or sunset. In the summer time you could get really hot since there is not much of shade. Many river otters, owls, turkeys... Great for mountain bikes also.

After hiking most of the Yellow Trail, I came back 2 wks later with my MTB & completed all 3 main loops. It's a single-track back country road with sections of grass & sand. Be mindful of ticks. GPS read a total of 19.3 mi. for the day, which included a short exclusion farther north towards the red/yellow trail section. Wouldn't recommend a street bike. I have a hybrid with the thicker Bontrager XR2 tires.

Nice for mountain biking and hiking, while you’re in the woods. However once you get out to the loop not so much, it’s just power lines and plains and no shade. It’s still nice regardless but keep that in mind with the heat and weather. The water level seems a bit low to kayak down this section of the creek. Happy hiking

The All Trails map is showing the path that the park labels as a two way bike path, it's nice and is paved the entire way, but the actual Nature Trail is much more interesting with lots of shade, information plaques about local plants and animals, lots of side paths that leads to big open fields or the farm for kids and turning the corner to come back has a gorgeous lakeside view the rest of the way back. Lots of amenities throughout, benches, restrooms, water fountains and the most perfect places to set up hammocks. One can truly spend a day here.

This particular part of the trail was closed. But I still give it a five because all the trails connecting it are open. Easily marked trails, with soft sand or pine leave bedding. Lots of shade .

This is my "local" jogging & cycling park. The nature trail is a great feature with a taste of backcountry hiking, decent shade & signage stations identifying wildlife. There's a 2-way bike trail loop around the park with splendid views of Turkey Lake. I frequent this park multiple times per month. The park has an eclectic and interesting mix of activities & features including a playground, a farm, a swimming pool, camping, nature trail, frisbee golf, fishing, volleyball, cycling & weekend regattas.
