Marianna, Florida Map

great for experiencing the many hidden gems of Florida. The cavern and the information, the history behind the caver was extremely enjoyable and amazing. The hiking offers a great deal of relaxation while enjoying the scenery. We where able to spot two deers along the way. Definitely a great way to spent a Saturday morning family outing.

great tour for families with a couple of easy trails to go with the cave tour! plus swimming at blue hole!

This place is worth the $8 to take the guided tour. It’s back story is very interesting and the formations are beautiful.

I did a loop. And I started out at the right.Want to be careful when you cross the field, because you have to really look for the orange markers on the trees. Lovely trail. Lots of shade. Lots the spiderwebs like others have said. The river in cypress knees are lovely. Saw two deer. Bring it there are mosquitoes. So several things I’ve only seen in Florida trail books and magazines. A cave by the river, railroad tracks, and raise road you don’t walk under it it’s on the other side of the river. And an abandoned cabin. Now I know where they are!

Love this river, had a great time with family.

(7-13-2018) A short walk, really neat to see the remains of the old bridge. Mosquitos got a bit aggravating closer to the bridge but hey it’s Florida. The trail is pretty much all shaded which is nice this time of year. The trail is also well maintained and easy to follow and clear to see the old road bed. Going to take the kids back in the Fall/Winter.

started at bellamy bridge, the beginning of the trip way nice and relaxing. then all the trouble began. Lots of downed trees to go over or under. one time we had to get out of the kayak and drag it over a downed tree and get back in praying we didn't flip. what the map doesn't tell you is the river dead ends in Florida caverns state park. we learned the hard way on this trip. if you do plan on paddling this river make sure you have all day to do it. cause it will take all day.

Wow!!! The Caverns are amazing. The cost to go inside the Caverns with a tour guide is $8 and last about 45 minutes, totally worth it. This is the only place in Florida you can see these Caverns. If you are going to be in the area, please stop in for this hike, you want regret it.

this was an awesome river to kayak. very easy for beginners.

Was a very entertaining cave tour, plus my wife and I had a great time exploring the Bluff trail afterwards. We had Robinson as our guide.

Interesting, short walk. To visit for a view of the remains of Bellamy Bridge, it makes for a nice outing. Very easy going walk, and a short distance to Chipola River. As of today, March 10, 2018, the wooden bridge used to cross a stream has collapsed, and dangerous if wet. Logs have also been thrown down to aid in getting onto the bridge, which adds to the risk of injury.

In times of recent flooding, bring mosquito spray and/or ankle weights, or you may very well be carried away.

Great for you to have fun and relax. A few stopping points to stop and get your feet wet and to have a picnic.

Nice trail. Lots of river view and cypress forest as well as scrub. Easy hike well marked.

This river follows a beautiful path through the North Florida area showcasing everything from sandy, clear pools to deep, muddy river.

It is highly trafficked and can be absolutely maddening with the high volume of humans floating it during the summer. Canoes, inner tubes, and boats are always in view so be prepared for the crowds.

Trail was well marked. Not used often so it is very narrow. Lots of stickers and vines that will scrap your legs up. Wear tall socks or pants. Also have a stick handy for the many spider webs! Near part is the trail close to the river

This is the most magical state park in Florida. You usually don't see caverns in Florida this is something that is in the in the Northern States. The trail is great, well maintained and marked. No bugs!

Cave tours and really beautiful hikes. you won't see stuff like this till you get more north Florida so for me this place was awesome! I took my 9 year old here she loved it as well. there are a few different hikes to choose from none of them are long at all just cool.

Nice hike with the kids... ages 16 mo through 16. Some parts of the trail were a little "marshy" and wet... but we were able to work around it and get through. Moving slow, stopping to explore, and eat lunch took us a little over three hours. Overall, a nice place to spend a few hours hiking with the kids!

Very clean site with beautiful cave structures and a staff that has remain consistently friendly and informative.

So cool never knew there were caverns in Florida

The trails are nice and fun. A little spooky sometimes with the caves lol. The cavern tour is the best. The Rangers are very knowledgable about the formations. Very fun and educational.

Hinson Trail.
Built by members of the Florida Trail Association.
Loop trail. but any time it rains hard, the river has a chance of flooding the park.
several sinkholes and a beautiful riverside trail area. the trail also follows thru several open pastures.
do not forget The Ovens. a natural cave right above the river.

Great hike, particularly if you get off the trail and climb trees and rocks!

Nice easy trail for the whole family. Also neat to learn the history of the area and the possibility of seeing the Bellamy ghost.
