Great trails. They range from moderate to difficult and are very peaceful and easy to navigate. The lake and the poles (surfer spot) are gorgeous. One of the premier parks in NE Florida.

Decent if all you have to stay local to ride. Good workout. If the tourists would read the signs and not hike on a biking trail, it’d be much better. Lots of roots, some flow areas, a couple of short but sharp ascents (descents depending on the day of the week) and a good test of a bike with or without suspension.

loved the "little mountain" with the kids. fun for the entire family, even our furbaby. Beautiful riverview as well.

Totally recommend!!

very beautiful , we had a blast With our dogs, some parts of the trail were muddy from the rain, and we got a few ticks on each of us. But i will be back!

Amazingly Beautiful Trails!
I can’t help but be impressed with these trails.
I was very pleased with the condition, variety and simple beauty of the various trails. The trails themselves are very well maintained and there are a variety of skill levels to be had. From a few flat straightaways to many hairpin turns, to the unlimited rises & falls, all while constantly needing to dodge the unlimited obstacles placed in your way. Needless to say, I found the “More Difficult E-Line Loop” more than enough of a challenge for a guy my age.
In addition to the good condition I found the trails to be in, I was blown away by the scenic images I was exposed to. From the beautiful lakes, rivers, trees and friendly woodland creatures- to the not-so-friendly alligators I saw “sunning” themselves atop logs in the water.
I really didn’t expect to be that close to them.
In fact, at one point of the trail, if you fall off your bike to the left side, you will end up in an extremely thick swamp where an alligator is waiting just under the waters’ surface to snack on you or anyone else that may fall into this guys’ territorial waters. YIKES! I’m not kidding folks.
***I would seriously recommend everyone take a buddy with them for company & protection while riding here.
I found the above, as well as the many other amazing experiences I have had here, reason to RAISE my score of this Parks’ Trails rather than lower it. I feel that I (and I think most other Mt. Bikers), choose to ride my bike in the woods for just this reason. If i wanted to ride my bike on a flat concrete surface and see nothing i would be riding in the streets right?
But if you ARE looking for an amazing experience every time you ride your Mt. Bike- this is definitely a great place to ride!

Dog friendly trail. But for some they think that means no leash. Keep them on a leash. Leash laws still exist. Ive been hiking this trail for years. Nice and close to home. Nice get away from the hustle and bustle.

Had a great time taking out the pup. It’s quite open so prepare to deal with the heat. Outside of that it offers many different activities due to its shear size. The foliage is beautiful and the multiple different loops gives you options depending on what mood you are in.

Beautiful wide trails, nice river view at one end, didn’t go to the plantation but did the whole trail loop. Listed here as 2.9, but on site as 3.2 as well. Definitely would recommend!

Started at the front gate to add more miles. Wish I had this app last weekend. Still have no idea how far we hiked. Beautiful hike and lots of options of views.

Mostly shady, well cared for trails, lots of butterflies and birds, even 3 peacocks! Trail back to plantation could have been better marked as the trail to the water at the north end would require one to walk along the steep beach back to the plantation visitors center. Very well kept National park however! Well worth the time.

Very sandy in areas, pretty sure I ran in circles at times, saw heaps of wild life- Birds, turtles, and a huge snake.

This is great walk but I would rate it as Easy. The trail is well groomed, wide, an almost entirely level except for the optional hill at the end. Wonderful view of the marsh.

If you go early in the morning, beware you will hit every spider web on the trail.

there is a bench to sit on at the waterfront, perfect for a little break and a picnic lunch

Very Sandy, no single track, nothing to see to distract from the boring double track while pushing thru tons of sand

awesome ride...some trails paved some wooded some sand. will ride again

Nice 6.5 mile hike on a well traveled trail. We didn't see any wildlife on this trail but they had just completed a controlled burn.

Love it! Always see different wildlife!

January: the trail map is worthless. reportedly, there is a 3mi trail, a 6mi trail and several shorter ones. NONE are marked well. And at least today, every trail I tried was eventually under water. Would not do this hike in the heat of the summer as there is absolutely no shade. And definite gator prints seen in the sand- that was my highlight.

Quick 3 mile winter hike. Was here a few months ago and the trail was very wet in some parts. It seems to have dried up quite a bit. I saw a couple people with strollers and lots of dogs. A few kids, and a few trail runners. I’d say it’s an overall good trail for anyone.

Excellent walking trail, clear and wide.
Trails are clearly marked and km/mi markers to let you know how far you have traveled.
Runners, bicycles and horses use this trail. There is plenty of parking and port-a-let and trail sign at the trail head.

Great little gem! A small piece of Old Florida saved for enjoyment by future generations (to include my teenage son). Been years since I walked thru spots of sugar sand while listening to the wind whistle thru tall pines. Also got an unexpected (& very brief!) glimpse of a vivid shiny Black Racer snake near the far western edge of the Yellow Trail. FYI; our full loop hike was just 6.5 miles; not 21.5 miles as stated in the AllTrails description.

nice place, asphalt, didnt walk it all, well kept from what i did see

A bit desolate for my taste, unmaintained after Irma.

Great trail! It's well maintained. There was a couple spots I had to guess which trail to take, but for the most part it's well marked.

Flat loops. Not much view or excitement. Lots of mosquitos in the summer. kinda nice in the fall.
